People are still crying about BnP when we can't even order for almost three more months and won't take delivery for about ten?
Yeah, dumb people with their financial planning of a vehicle that may cost $50k+. How dare they want to have detailed information in advance so they can save cash and plan ahead over the long haul. What a bunch of suckers. :sneaky: :sneaky:

Imho... Ford is one of several big Corporations that are in serious trouble.... Management is in turmoil. Their financial situation is extremely bad.... share price is down... ability to borrow is not good. I very much hope they can get their shit together but its not a sure thing that they will.

COVID is affecting schedules of all manufactures. Wife ordered a Telluride about 14 months ago and it got caught up in out of materials for one feature she wanted, then COVID. They shutdown factory for several months to make COVID stuff like Ford did.

I ordered a Chevy Colorado before they were lots then traded it in for a Raptor when they came back. I think this is going as expected for me. The colorado was recalled twice before i got it. once for airbags.

Estimates on pricing have been out for quite a while now. You should have a pretty good estimate on what you're going to spend already.
Where else could anyone get a build and price thats 100% correct 3 months before ordering and 10 months before deliveries? I haven't seen any manufacturer make those things available that soon before vehicles were headed to dealers.

You need the B&P tool so you can plan to spend 50K and save money? Why? You can’t plan to spend 50K and save money without knowing the exact dollar amount? If you’re doing financial planning right you should know what you can afford before you’re worried about what you want.

I disagree. There is always room for improvement for anything, but I believe Ford has done a good job.

Things I would have liked see done better:
- They could have reinforced their site during the reveal to help the demand. They should have prepared for an excessive amount of traffic. With this new wave of "reserving" your order, they could have learned from previous manufacturers failures, especially at $100 reservation price point.
- More physical public showings. They should be touring the nation. I have so much anxiety placing a $40k+ order without seeing the product in person first. I understand the pandemic is going on. Pay the people on tour extra, invest in social distancing precautions, get your product in front of people!
- Release more specifications on these Bronco Screw accessory points. Let the market start to design new things for your product! The hype is here *now*, build on it.

Things I have really liked:
- Ford has me completely emotionally sold based on the release. The release was f***ing hype. Even Jeep diehards and Ford haters admit Ford nailed it.
- Ford social media has been very honest about changes in timelines and handled critiques very well. They aren't telling us in Spring 2021 that it will be pushed back to July, then in July say most wont even get until the winter. As soon as the reservations flooding in, they immediately knew the realistic numbers and were transparent *before* we put down nonrefundable money.
- The little "leaks" here and there have satisfied my obsessive need for Bronco content. I am a bit sad Ford screwed over TFL Youtube because I watch their content a lot, but... I have no control over that. I look forward to their reviews when they get their hands on it.

And like it or not, Ford has you hooked. Purchasing a *new* car is an emotional purchase. The amount of affordable used cars at half the price is abundant, even in these current markets. However, you are hyped and hopeful for the Bronco. In regards to that, thats what they want.

We already have the basic idea of what they will cost just from the surveys that were given. Hell you can even use tools here to get an idea of costs after financing with added discounts such as Granger and X-Plan. I just don't see how somebody can get sticker shock or not at least be taking steps already to budget in a $50k vehicle that they won't be ordering for 3 months and taking delivery for almost a year. The whining over BnP is just for people to have a new toy to play with for a bit then forget about until December. I at least want a decent well thought out BnP instead of that garbage one the F150 has. If it takes another 1-2 months that's not an issue. I pretty much don't even care if we get it until December to be honest as I already know what I want and within a reasonable amount of what it costs.

Ford is doing it right. if they were to release everything at once, it would have been news for a week or two and then died down. then jeep would have been trickling out their announcements and stealing the thunder back. Ford is trickling out their news and footage so it's always on peoples minds.

Yup. It’s just whining from impatient people who now have resorted to, “financials” as an excuse as to why they “need” it. I know I want to go to Greece either next summer or the next, guess what I did? I looked at some general flights costs and room costs and then added a percentage above for food, activities etc and then started saving towards that generous estimate. ??????

This isn’t a post so much about lack of B&P as much as it is about Fords seemingly “Do nothing, tell no one” strategy. The cats out of the bag for what the bronco has and what it seems to be capable of. My issue and I’m sure the dealers as well, is lack of transparency between HQ and the dealerships around the US.
As a dealer employee, the lack of information can be frustrating, but I don't see it as lack of transparency. I think it is part of their strategy to communicate the information publicly so that dealers and customers have the same information at the same time. Agree with or not, I think its keeping both customers and dealers engaged with the product, but is also leaving too many questions unanswered. It's worth noting that in the past, a few unsavory dealers have betrayed Ford's trust on confidential new product information as evidenced by this story about the GT500 leak. I'm speculating, but this might be a contributing reason why dealers don't have the inside track on the product launch for Bronco.

I think their approach is pretty smart actually. This wouldn't work for just any new car but with a vehicle as iconic as the Bronco that has been away for so long, it's working for them.

Ford is:
  1. Drumming up hype which is bringing in new buyers
  2. Holding some people back from buying a new Wrangler (or similar) now that they know this is coming
  3. Getting a very good gauge on demand which should help with budgeting and locking in sourcing for the manufacturing process
  4. Getting customer feedback in advance which may allow them to tweak or add some things before final pricing and production
