Did you figure out what size space is required for this mount on a SAS package?
A 1" (one inch) spacer works great, clears with some room left over. The thing you'll have o figure out aside from the spacer, whether you are also replacing the two rubber stoppers on the tailgate the spare rests on? I purchased longer ones and simple cut them down.

I do have a second 1" wheel spacer for sale if anyone is interested. (I couldn't buy them individually, only in pairs or 4)

I fabbed up an NMO mount for one of the new "Can" dual band antennas. It is made of .188" aluminum. I went all the way from the top to the bottom tire carrier bolts to get a much more rigid mount.

Any solutions for mounting two antennas that don't require piecing two different brackets together? I have the Jeep bracket from Amazon that bolts to the tire carrier and wish they made the same bracket for the other side so I could have both antennas mounted off each side of the tire carrier.

Seems like there should be one mount made for two antennas, or an antenna and a flag, or something along those lines.

didn't know this was an option to mount inside. Just got a midland mxt575 and not knowing much about them, I mounted the ghost antenna to the trail sight thinking less interference out there. But now I worry someone's just gonna screw it off and steal it. Maybe I'll give this a shot. Thanks for sharing.

Worked up an rear antenna mount thought I would share.

Bought a Jeep rear tire mount of amazon. Bolt holes were way off as I expected. So did some cutting. After getting it on I realized the tire sat too far back for the antenna to fit. So a 1 inch wheel spacer on the rear tire carrier did the trick. Pics of the interesting parts below. Added measurements of the bracket I modified incase someone wants to make their own

Going to do the same, except I have some stainless to use. Not rust, did the same for my TJ. Looks good.

A different question. I have Midland GMRS MXT575, with their MXTA26 antenna and MXTA24 cable. Midland help desk told me It does not have to be tuned. I called two different time and got two different folks. True or flase??
