Another stupid delivery question

I reserved back in February and just converted to an order for a 2021 4dr Wildtrak. The dealer was was hesitant to give a delivery timeframe, but said that realistically it might not arrive until October 2022 or later. This seems relatively crazy to me, even with all the knowledge I have about constrained MIC tops, Sasquatch, and the other standard elements of the Wildtrak.

12 to 18 months from now?! Is it even possible it’ll take that long?

Yeah, October 22 seems a bit crazy. Probably going to be more like Q1 2023. Oh, and you are going to have to reorder when the MY22 books open which should be by September.

Most of us on here reserved day 1+ and have been waiting over 12 months now. So no, not unrealistic. I am sure with production ramp ups and such, a good guess would be summer 2022 for delivery. Maybe...

I reserved my Wildtrak over a year ago and it would be a miracle to get it by summer 22

You must be new here. 12-18 months would be fast. I’d expect 24+ months before you get it.

To answer your question directly, I would say that it is absolutely NOT possible for it to take that long. Much longer! Think 24 months plus. But, at least your dealer didn't tell you he would have it to you sooner than that. Looking for the positive for you.

Thanks, folks. I know we are all frustrated and most of you have been waiting much longer than me. It’s just an unfortunate situation for all of us that we are trying to give a company money and due to world events we are unable to do that. Thanks again and I’ll try to keep the faith.

Based on the last MAP update post I saw they are targeting 550 units a shift with 2 shifts per day.

Let's assume 200k to build and no parts shortages that prevent that rate. The below numbers are unachievable so take with a grain of salt.

At a 60/40 split it's gonna take 303 days to get through those orders.
At a 70/30 split its gonna take 260 days to get through them.

Assuming no Saturdays that is 51 Weeks at 70% bronco build rate.
Assuming Saturdays that is 44 weeks.

I have no personal experience with MAP, so I do not know what the holidays look like for them. This also does not take into account overtime for the crews working 12's instead of 10 hour shifts.
