For sure - do you have the sub delete? Basically the housing for the sub in the back but a ghost amp and sub?

A lot of members havae been buying a ford fusion amp and a 6.5 kicker and swapping - check out the write up below. It'll give you bass but not too much bass which sounds like what you are after.

Not sure. I am thinking about Kicker 200 and JBL BassPro Nano 6", but will take a look at this solution.

No open top, I don't need higher volume, but I want reacher sound. Right now it sounds pretty flat. I don't need a jumping car with shaking doors, but just good sound with a gentle bass.

8” sub to replace the factory one, buy a amp that can run whatever the rms wattage is on it. Replace all other speakers and power them with a amp relative to rms and make sure it’s 4 channels, 5 if it’s a B&O (can’t remember if you mentioned that)
The factory system is not good even if it is the B&O. I noticed a huge difference once mine were replaced. Also get a bass knob so if you can easily control the bass to the replacement sub to your liking. If you do have the top down and/or doors off the bass will vary drastically from that with them up/on. I have a 12” kicker in a large fiberglass box being powered by the kicker key 500.1 and it sounds great with lots of lows with the top up and doors on but with them off like they’re currently it sounds completely different
