I bought a ‘22 Badlands used. It doesn’t have the front facing camera and I’d like to add one for use with my iPhone as a trail spotter. I really don’t want to add another monitor or hack into my current system because it’s fidgety enough as is.

So, I figured Bluetooth to my phone would be the way to go. Something I can deploy when airing down entering the trail and recovering when airing up leaving the trail.

Any recommendations and/or cautionary tales on products to avoid?

Bluetooth doesn't have the througput for video. There would be a delay that would make it pretty useless for a forward monitor.

There are a lot of options for 2.4ghz wifi cameras out there. These all use a dedicated monitor though. I've used a couple on trailers and they still get a bit of a delau.

Your best bet might be a Wolfbox or similar brand rear-view mirror setup.

Second the Wolfbox which has the ability to forward mount and rear mount cameras and record.

or use a GoPro- you connect to its WiFi to stream. Battery life is poor
