Adios '21 2 door...hello ??

Well, thanks to this site, I got the best offer possible from Driveway. 55k for my beautiful "dirt mountain" Rapid Red Basesquatch.
I didn't want to keep waiting for my 2.7 to rapidly disassemble...probably should have taken my own advice and "disassembled" it myself for Ford to replace.
So I emailed a dealer about ordering another, this time with a 2.3 manual. lol
hopefully Ford will figure out their shit in the next few years, QC wise.

There's no more online ordering, right?

No ordering till August. Though some dealers are accepting pre-orders for the order... At least that's what one I talked to today offered. Fill out all the paper work for the COVP program and they'll order asap when the banks open. All the other dealers just said to come back in August.
I'm not sure which I'm gonna do.

The money's always tempting but with runaway inflation it's going to be pretty worthless. I decided it's better to live in the moment and enjoy it. Good luck and may your wait be short.

I wasn't stoked about the 2.3's long term durability since it will be working pretty hard.
But it seems like right now Ford has no clue with the 2.7.

I get that position. And if I had a 73 I might not have bought a 21. Nah who am I kidding, this is the coolest rig to come out in my lifetime.

Sigh. Glad I pulled out the $30k for my Bronco 18 months ago.

Sucks selling a Rapid Red Bronco, but I'd far prefer the Mansquatch over the auto-magic. I just... really, really hate driving a slush-box.

I stumbled on this site a couple days before day 1 reservations, and got a Bronco a year later.
This time I get to wait.

Heh, I wanna switch to the auto from the manual cause I unfortunately spend more time stuck in traffic than getting out to play off road. AND... after driving an auto at off roadeo, all the cool tech gadgets hooked me. Especially trail turn assist.
Plus I need a little extra room so will be switching to 4 door, even though the 2 door is amazing and I prefer the looks/maneuverability of it.... So... 4 door badlands w/2.7l auto.. I'm willing to trust the latest 2.7's.. And who knows maybe 2023 will add something cool. I just hope the crazy used market doesn't cool down that much before the new one is delivered. This is my only vehicle so can't really sell it right now, I'd need something else to hold me over and that would probably wipe out any advantage of selling now.

That 2.3 handles its weight just fine. Nothing to worry about there.
