All I added were Barnes rear shock skids, RCI cross member skids and a transmission plate that I fabricated.

I feel as though all of the factory skids are adequate for our needs.

Currently going through the same thought process and leaning towards doing an all RCI replacement of the badlands armor. I wasn't sure how "good" the stock shields are but it seems that some are saying they are fine (to start with and replace later) but considering the 20% Memorial Day at RCI I might bight and replace all. Been going back and forth between aluminum and steel. Their aluminum is 2/3 the strength of steal and should hold up well. Also no rust issues with aluminum and more than half the weight in savings. Thoughts on aluminum vs steel? or should I just ride out the stock plates at first? Already have RCI 20 degree rock sliders on order (since March). Should be getting that delivery email soon (fingers crossed).

I know stock plates are steal, but are they 3/16” like most of the aftermarket replacements? Ford dosnt specify on the website. Cross bars need to be covered for sure. Others have banged them up pretty bad.

I know i am resurrecting an old thread..

My question is who offers the best steel skidpkate for the transmission with sway bar disconnect? I'd love the skidpkate to match the black steel ones on there currently.

Personally I believe there are several that would suit your needs quite well. I went with Talons Garage. I am quite happy.
