So being on the short side of height, I'm going to probably add some side steps to my 2 door after I receive it. I was curious though, I haven't seen many side steps for the 2 door besides the ford accessories one which is cool since I know it'll fit, BUT, I'd like to have the surface be grippier similar to the ford raptor steps. I know gorhino sells a set but doesn't have the 2 door spec in just yet...
Any advice on adding grip tape or maybe even buying a can or 2 of bedliner spray and adding it to the Ford accessory version? I think grip tape would be the cheapest but with the surface of the side steps I don't know how well the tape would stay. Just looking for advice.

If it was me, I'd remove them and have them Line-X sprayed. It'll add to the durability and help with the grip, and I think it'd look better. But that's just my 2 cents.
The only problem with LineX is if you do actually rub against something, the material will wipe off in at least a scrape if not chunks depending on conditions. Repairing a scrape or missing area sucks a lot less with paint, powder coat or grip tape.

Yeah I've seen those but I'm just not a fan. I don't like the 4wp logo and the finish doesn't seem as grippy as bedliner or grip tape.
Might just stick with the ford one, I'm just curious if I'd have to remove it to get it sprayed with bedliner or if I should trust the shop I take it to remove and re install them?
Yeah, had to get something as soon as possible since the wife has some lower back issues and this was only thing available for two doors at the time. I have thought many times about covering the top and 4wp logo with grip tape. Just haven’t got to it.

I have the 4WP steps on my 2dr, and added grip tape from Amazon.
Ford Bronco Adding bedliner/grip tape to 2 door sidesteps? 1644008918421

The tape is 2" wide, link: Amazon.com: Anti Slip Grip Traction Tape by TreadSafe - Grip Tape for Stairs, Non Slip Tape, Traction Tread, Abrasive Adhesive for Steps (Black 2" x 15 FT Roll) : Industrial & Scientific

I cut it at angles to fit the spaces between the slots in the step, then put a long piece on the edge to give a better grip there. It is not too obtrusive and seems to be sticking well. We'll see how it holds up. It only took 30 minutes or so to put on.
