I've picked up an Acecar APX display that runs off the OBD-II port and also uses GPS from Amazon, currently $95. I've been auditioning it in my 2000 Ranger, with some minor on-board adjustments for accuracy and wake/sleep, it's been great. My 2002 F150 is a manual and doesn't have a tach... I normally just look at my GPS indicated speed, but the Bronco comes with GPS, making it redundant.

Honestly, the only thing not retro 60s in the Bronco is the retro 80s tach, and it is a real head scratcher... @Ford Motor Company , fix the dash display.

Because the tach sucks….

I hate the tach.

How about an optional tach screen that actually is readable, with a needle like a standard tachometer we have seen since the 1950s. They have it for mpg, and boost. The engineering team responsible for that dash debacle should be fired. The “tach” is useless. I have a manual and would like to see where I am when downshifting.
i have 2 speedometers, 2 temp displays, can I have a real tachometer? Please?
The tach is useless. They went for a retro look on this vehicle, but offer some fuel gage type tach on a manual. I pray they send an update.

I wonder how many signatures it would take to get that change?

Tim O'Neil agrees that it needs a real tachometer.

I’m thinking of just doing this. I agree that this is one of the few things that really bother me about the new ride. Who designed this stupid thing?

Don't need, But I'd really like one. I like to see the needle move when you touch down on the clutch. If you want to take off real quick and precise, analog tach is the only way, also good for rev matching if you are into that.
