ADD bumpers have great aesthetics, I like the minimalist design and I am considering one for my 6G, but at such a price, I want to make sure I won't see any issues. Any real world experience with this being used offroad? Specifically hitting rocks on he trail or more importantly using a snatch strap on the shackle mounting point?
After seeing problems with aftermarket front mount bumper mounting (not just ADD), it has me wondering about the rear bumper mounts. The factory tow hooks are pretty rigid under the frame and generally these bumpers mount with those bolts. Most aftermarket companies D-ring shackle mounts are generally up higher and put a leverage on the bumper- and it doesn't seem that there are any higher bolt locations.. In a hard pull, this could wreak havoc. I recall a post about the Turn rear bumper having similar limitations, but haven't been able to find the thread again.
Anyone put some hard pulls on these bumpers? Seeing any movement or damage? Any other manufacturers with more robust designs?
