Just realized the Bronco Sport has it as a standalone option for $800
I really hope your wrong because I may have to add it, which means there is that whole sensor bumper winch topic... if it only comes in Lux... choice is much easier. ;)

Ford Bronco Adaptive cruise control - standalone option? Annotation 2020-08-16 220305

They have it on the Big Bend and up, didnt see it on the base. Of course no guarantee that it will carry over to the big bronco, or that it will be the same $.

That's the first time I've heard someone who actually had it and used it, say they don't like it or love it. Did you think the closest following gap setting was too far or something? That's the only real downside I see at times, and only really becomes apparent at high highway speeds (75+).
I loved it in the Volvo, but it’s annoying in the Honda. I’m sure it’s somewhat in programming, but also somewhat due to the Honda’s CVT transmission. If it’s anything like Honda, I won’t use it.

I’ve had it in 3 cars now and it’s been good in all 3. Really good in the Escalade. I haven’t had a Ford yet though.

The visual trim description that Ford put out lists Co Pilot 360 part of the mid package, not available on Base. But the screenshot below is from the Base description on Ford’s website.

I dont like it on any car I've driven with it. If the road has any sort of curves the cruise control will constantly be letting off the gas or even taping the brake due to it detecting cars in the other lanes (or in some cases objects along the side of the road). I'm sure its fine if you primarily drive on very straight roads though.
I guess there must be big differences in execution between manufacturers...I have literally never had that happen in the Subaru or the GMs (2020 Escalade and 2020 Terrain), and I use it all the time, even in traffic circles. It stays on the car in front of me. Maybe because those cars have lane detection too so it knows where to look. Hopefully Ford gets it right as well, but if those two manufacturers can execute it you would think Ford could easily do it on a 2021 with no problemo.

I don't mean to bring up an old post but I also found jtrzako's experience hard to believe. If the system is that bad then either there was something wrong with it or possibly one would need to stay away from that manufacturer's system (or perhaps it was an early one). My first experience with it was in my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee, where I am still amazed at how well it works. I deliberately try to put it in situations to see if it malfunctions (with my hands and feet hovering to take over) and it has never let me down. Including what you list above with sharp turns at speed, narrow lanes, etc. You need to give it another chance.

I actually searched for a thread on Adaptive Cruise here just to make sure the Bronco has a good system, which from all accounts it sounds like it will. I also see where Ford has Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC) for a couple of models in 2020. Does anyone know if that is what will be on the Bronco? I want the best we can get for it after driving my Jeep GC, which even has some kind of lane correction system that pulls me back to center if I stray too far. Its a great feature for late night driving if you start to get tired. I guess that is near the cusp of auto driving.
