Adaptive Cruise Control Box

Regarding the box in the center of the bumper area: does it any other purpose other than Adaptive Cruise Control?
I don’t have ACC, added an aftermarket bumper and want to add fog lights. Will the fog lights disrupt any function? (Emergency Braking?)

It’s only for adaptive cruise. If you do not have it, it’s just an empty box
Emergency braking uses the windshield camera
