Hi All,
I'm seeing a lot of aftermarket front bumpers relocate the ACC "plate" to behind the grill. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it working as well when partially obstructed? Anyone with experience or a better understanding of how this tech works want to clue me in?

I have the OBX with standard bumper and am hoping to make the change in a year or two.

This is how F150 Raptor guys do it when they run an aftermarket bumper. I did it on my 2019 Raptor. Don't worry it works. The issue is getting the angles right. screw it up and the sensor will be off. Ford will not re-calibrate the sensor if you move it from the factory location. I had no issues relocating my ACC on my 2019 Raptor but I know other Raptor owners that did have issues. See below on my GEN2 truck, it is above the "R" and "D".

Radar can penetrate composite materials relatively easily. It’s metal objects that obstruct the signal
