2024 Big Bend, non-squatch, 4DR, 2.3L, 7MT, soft top. Took delivery mid Oct '24. Build date of early Aug '24.
I bought this Bronco not as a daily driver. It's a toy for me and my wife to galivant around the Texas hill country backroads on nice weekends visiting wineries, breweries, distilleries, pizza joints, and farmer's markets. And boy does it do that well. We'll take it to the coast a few times this summer as well.
I doubt this truck ever sees any serious off-roading. We've done some light off-roading with it so far, but nothing that would require a lift or different tires. That might change after TX Bronco Off-Roadeo at the end of this month.
The on-road manners of this truck are fantastic. So much fun to drive.
I'm currently at around 3800 miles and nary an issue.
Here's what I've done to it so far and likely where it will stay for some time to come. I'm very happy with how it runs and handles and just everything about it at this point.
- Ford performance cal plus Mishimoto Powerstack dry cleanable air filter. I always run 93 octane and Sport mode. Fun, fun, and more fun!
- Steeda axle-back exhaust plus MBRP stainless exhaust tip. About as throaty sounding as you can make this i4, I believe. Love it!
- Steeda clutch pedal return spring. Much more linear clutch pedal feel. Really a nice upgrade for such a simple and cheap mod.
- OEM rock rail takeoffs I bought from another forum member (thanks Adam!). I like the look.
- IAG mini front mudflaps that install on the ends of the rock rails. Kind of small but effective enough at stopping most of the door spray...hopefully. (Note: photo of Bronco below is before I installed the flaps; they're not that small!)
- Ford Performance hood struts. Might be my favorite accessory so far. Easy to install and very much appreciated every time I open the hood.
- Rough Country mesh bimini top. Bought it for the price, but like it quite a lot. Stays on all the time. Easy install. Does flap a bit, but doesn't bother me.
- Upgraded dash speakers with 4" Kickers from Crutchfield; upgraded sub with Kicker 6.5" from Crutchfield. Happy with the results.
- Replaced rear speaker pods with SSV pods with SSV speakers. Easy install with the soft top. Happy with them.
- Forscan audio related changes to remove rear EQ. My only Forscan changes. That app scares me!
- Warhorse Off-Road tailgate limiter. Nice piece. Should spread the load on the bottom of the tailgate better.
- A bunch of stickers on the inside of the tailgate. Someone here had posted a pic of theirs and I thought it was fun so stole the idea.
And that's where we are and will stay for now. Again, I'm really digging this truck. Very happy with the purchase so far!
