Back in high school I so wanted a Bronco or a 2 door Land Cruiser but $6,000 for a really nice one was soooo much money.
I started working at 12 saving money for a car, I wanted a Landcruiser or Scout. By the time I was 15 I’d saved $3500. My old man said no to me buying a clean 1976 (year of my birth) FJ40 for $2000 in 1992. He said the same thing about a nice FJ55 that the old man down the block was selling a year later. These were rust free trucks in AZ. I’m sure my high school self would’ve f’ed them up and done dumb shit, but either one was cooler than the 1985 Oldsmobile Tornado that was handed down when the old man bought himself a 1994 Isuzu Trooper. I shouldn’t complain about the free Oldsmobile, but it was horrible on gas at 11 mpg and certainly wasn’t cool.

At 6’5” I never fit in an EB.

I have two 66' and 71', I can promise you that those three will sleep every night in the shop, garage or under a trail cover......not really a priority for the 22' though lol. Those three appreciate every year, I'm already in the hole on the 22' haha.

You're kidding, right? Most people who love the old ones hate the new ones. The fact that I have a new one does not reduce the value of my 74. Classic cars hold their value, and Broncos are right up there with '57 Chevy 2 door coupes.
Was meant to be in blue, or in jest. Have edited my post. Prefer owning and driving a new one. But, I do get the nostalgia of the older ones too.

I've always wondered since joining 6G how many people appreciate the history of the bronco vs The next big thing(6G). I'm not 100% certain but it seems like a lot of people on here come from all over to have the 6G but don't really appreciate the history of the Bronco. This is very apparent when a post about waiting for a Bronco or Wrangler vs. Bronco has pages of replies and this post about a Uncut Gem has very little response. When I do finally get mine I could tell you if everything goes to crap and I have to sell things my 6G would be gone long before my 95 leaves the garage.
