Got an email from Ford early this morning, got excited. Turns out my parts that I ordered arrived at the dealer and it has nothing to do with the Bronco. *sigh*

But it gave me an excuse to go to the dealer. While I was there I asked one of the sales managers to print out my Vehicle Visibility Report. I was able to confirm that my Bronco has been "Produced" but has not been "Released" yet. The public tracker still has me "In Production". So yeah, does seem like "Built" on the public tracker corresponds to "Released" on the internal tracker, which is a good thing in my opinion.

No plant hold though... but I think we all know it can be held up without actually having a "Plant Hold" status. So now comes the wait game where we all wait and hope our vehicles don't get sent to a holding lot for the next 1-3+ months.

I think you and I are in the same boat. I have a roof rack and safari bar on my order and am thinking that the accessory line may be the hold-up...

Got the railcar number from my salesman and tried the CSX line. Arrived in Wayne Michigan last night at 1AM, scheduled to get to Birmingham on 8/14. Pretty cool system. Maybe it won't take 2 weeks to make it an hour south of Bham lol.

mine arrived inBirmingham AL 12:05am today 8/10/22. Built 8/1 and shipped 8/4 (according to rail car info dealer sent).

So if your Bronco has been "released" from ford plant you can get the visibility report?

I Called my dealer to ask if he had a way to track it by rail ” not really” I told him im in NY for the summer and would need to fly back to take delivery they don’t really care ,, so Is there a way I can track it by rail so I at least know it’s in Fla and I can book airfare? Argh

There’s contact info on the tracker page in the menu…but I believe you need the rail car number. maybe try Ford chat or customer service? Kinda crappy of the dealer to not help.

Thanks AZGrrl480, I’ll try ford chat my dealer is the worst they have never reached out to me during this process if it wasn’t for Bronco6G I wouldn’t have as much info as I do.
when I get the keys I’m going to have a little chat with the salesman on how They basically ruined what is supposed to be an exciting purchase.

I’m sorry, that totally sucks. …. The entire sales team at our dealer has been really cool..We’ve gone in a few times and I’ve actually had more info from reading all the forums and FB groups. I know they didn’t get much training or info from FoMoCo before the Bronco was released and I think that’s why so many are having issues with dealers. Our dealer checks their production list every Mon and Fri because those are the days they can get the most current info. Our salesman did research on his own and they’ve been totally transparent through the entire process.

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

NS Norfolk Southern
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. Press 2.
3. Press 2.
4. Enter the letters on the numeric keypad then press #. As in: TTGX will be 8849
5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.

I understood it as the letters of the rail car #. In your case it would be TTGX, doesn't hurt to try.
