I just finished day 1 of the Bronco Offroadeo and thought I’d share some pics and thoughts.
First off, it was absolutely worth the time and money. If you can go you should.
I expected it to be pretty tame, but this was a legit off-road school. Steep inclines, deep water, good rock sections. During the sway bar demo I had two wheels off the ground. I learned so much about the GOAT modes and I love the trail assist feature.
I grew up off-roading in Utah and didn’t think Texas could deliver. It did.
Ford dumped a ton of money into this place and it shows. The scenery, venue, food, and live music were all great.
Like many off you I had Bronco fatigue. No build date yet, hadn’t seen one in person, and was getting so sick of delays.
This helped heal a lot of that Driving through the gate was stumbling into a field of mythical unicorns “they’re real” I whispered to no one… such a rad feeling.
Recommendations:
-Texas is hot and sunny (duh), wear sunscreen. I saw a lot of burned people at the end of the day.
-Stand by the one you want to drive after the ORX training. You can pick whichever you want, but it’s first come first serve....unlike those damn priority orders.
Random thoughts/comments:
-I love the soft top. I’m switching immediately. It is so fast and simple to fold back.
-to me, Cactus Gray does not look as good in person, while Velocity Blue looked way better than expected. AMB and Black are my favorites.
