Then my source is right. She mentioned the heated steering wheel as one of the missing components. I believe all 5/23 orders which have not been delivered are still at MAP. I didn’t say yours or mine would be at that lot but I passed by today and saw maybe 5 WTs. The 2 I saw were 6/6 builds so who know what components they were missing. I saw haulers also in the lot getting ready to load up a few to who knows where. I do not see light at the end of the tunnel just waiting at this point and getting a kick out of the false dates ford keeps pushing out automatically that mean nothing.
They are constantly cycling Broncos through Roush 9. I believe they work on them there and stage the completed Broncos for shipping. There are 2 lots there with Broncos. They also have Rangers and Explorers there. As I said earlier, Roush employees are working on vehicles on chip and part holds in all of the storage lots. It’s a massive job.

I think your research has given us a lot more detail than Ford has. What I can’t fathom is why the secrecy. Why can Ford not push out an email and articulate the problem and update people every couple of weeks on what has been done and what is left? THERE IS NO SUPPLY CHAIN SHORTAGE OF GOOD COMMUNICATION.
It’s unacceptable.

It’s significant work if you ask me but ford doesn’t care about the customer nor does it care about operational efficiencies. Cars at the KMart lot especially ICE F150s sat there for months literally more than 6 months untouched. The same exact ones were there every time I passed by.
You are correct Roush 9 has rangers, broncos, lightnings and explorers. It’s more than the eye can see and you can see the poor transporters ready to haul them away but there were none ready to go.

Essentially Ford through its Customer Service Reps talking points is borderline slandering carriers(rail companies and convoys) over an issue that has nothing to do with transportation.

I'm a 6/6 build week heading into my third delivery window. I figured I should join this thread so I have some people to commiserate with. Just about everybody in my actual build week thread has been shipped / delivered already. You guys seem to have a lot of information about what is really going on at Ford.

The problem is Ford constantly reports unfinished vehicles as built. Once they go into the system as built the computer generated emails and estimated shipping windows start rolling in week after week.

After reporting it built they update the status as “built / plant hold”. They don’t disclose the details why it’s on hold to the customer or the marketing department that interacts with the customer. Only people with high level access can see the parts the vehicles are waiting on.

The bad thing is the customer gets excited over a lie (their vehicle is not built - it’s incomplete) and the Ford Marketing representatives get verbally abused all day, everyday by irate customers that believe Ford Marketing is hiding information. They’re not. Ford doesn’t give them access to the details behind the plant holds.

One must assume Ford is benefiting from falsely reporting vehicles built that are incomplete. Do they get to bill the dealership once they declare a vehicle is built (true or not)? I don’t know. Are they doing it to inflate production statistics to appease share holders? I don’t know.

All I know is the total lack of transparency about the “plant hold” status appears to imply they are intentionally hiding the facts from the consumer. I hope I’m wrong.

Maybe @Ford Motor Company can chime in here and tell us?

Thanks for intel. I purposely downgraded to the high package and removed the tow package to prevent this type of issue. So, my Bronco isn’t being held for a heated steering wheel (as the high package doesn’t come with this option). I guess it could be because of a $20 camera bezel I can buy on Amazon, but that seems crazy to me. I have to think my Bronco has something else going on.

It’s definitely not the carriers. The rail yard is attached to the factory and the jack cooper car haulers are waiting across the factory on Michigan ave in 2 huge lots begging to get loaded.
[/QUOTE]

We need pictures to disprove Ford's statements that the issue is due to a lack of shippers for delivering Broncos via convoy!

The Ford Marketing folks are in the dark as much as we are. They can only offer up their best guess on what your delay is. Shipping was a huge problem earlier this year. That no longer seems to be the case.

Your dealership can see plant holds and shipping delays. Ask your sales person to check. I’m willing to bet you’re on plant hold. Unfortunately, your dealer can’t see why it’s on a plant hold.

I think they slowly started to ship those on plant hold.
We can see the vehicles numbers on ordertrak decreased to 544 today from 625.
My buddy's UBX with softtop and lux 6/6 built shipped day before yesterday and delivered today as of tracker.

5/23 build week and dealer says it’s sitting in Blue Island. Got the line pic weeks ago. The status has shown shipped for quite a while. Anybody else’s still sitting?
Wildtrak, 4dr, lux, leather, HOSS, hardtop, tow
