I’m getting ready to print this and gathering the ram balls. Since there are so many options which ram ball is that? In the description it says 1/4-20x??? I just don’t want to buy the wrong ram ball. Thanks.

I think you can get any Ram ball size with a post threaded in 1/4-20. That being said, I use size “B” (1”) for my mounting needs with the 1/4 post.

This is a bit of an old thread but I made another version of my handle delete with a slightly different design (inspiration from the hero buttons). I also used 1/4 - 20 threaded inserts instead of the 3d printed threads in the original.

I also added an accessory arm as a couple of the mounting points on the original were too far under the dash to be usable. The accessory arm adds a bit more usability/height and adds a couple of additional 1/4-20 threaded holes (3d printed threads on the arm).

I posted the STL files as well as my Fusion 360 file over on my Makerworld profile. I posted the Fusion file as I realize some people may want the 3d printed threads (or change up the design) and can modify that file.

In full disclosure, I am still having issues with the print quality on the back side of the handle delete due to its geometry but it does not impact the fit.

I printed this out of PLA and have found it pletny sturdy to hold my phone and my tablet as can be seen in my original photos. I have not had any issues with the PLA version, but if I do, I can just print a new one!
