I've been lurking this forum since inception and it has been a wealth of information. I have learned that I want a Bronco! I currently live in the mid-west, but, since retirement a couple of years ago, find myself spending even more time driving all over, but northen Colorado is where I always end spending most of my time. I mention that because, yes, I am a road warrior and love long paved road hours... to get to the dirt/rock roads. I love the comfort of my current (2013) F-150 Lariat; it's been great. But - I've gotten myself in situations were I sure wished I had a shorter wheelbase! Hopefully you all appreciate an understatement. Have seriously considered a Rubicon, but in the years/configuration I'd prefer and/or could afford, each one I have test driven (just 3, but...), had some level of 'wobble' at 75-ish mph; not ideal for long distance. So that's the intro and thinking so far...
A very long story, but, there is a 2022 Big Bend, 2 door, 9K miles, manual, 2.3 with the Sasquatch and some aftermarket items (Warn bumper/winch, nice wheels, cool looking sub-woofer, etc...) that Steamboat Springs Ford just got back to sell again. It may already be gone, but I'll ask anyway; it'll be a learning experience.
With about 9 K miles on it, they have it on AutoTrader today for 43,990; I have a quote for $41,990. Questions so far:
Is this price a good deal? great deal? a starting point?
Hard to explain without a pic, but, the subwoofer basically looks like a (appx) 4X3X 6" high "shelf" for the back; like a throne for your dog? The salesman showed me it's removeable... Never even turned the system on to hear, but I am sure it thumps... On the way home, I was wondering, "What do folks, with similar set ups, do when you're topless and it rains, hard?
That's enough for now. I appreciate you all - thanks!
