Seems to me extremely unlikely that the warranty folks would ever find put about a flash to the ECM...first the ford tech would need to be ”tipped off” somehow to know that somehow something was not factory any longer.
So unless you blow your engine up or get into a wreck that is YOUR FAULT, the chances of anyone ever reading your computer for ”tunes” is less than winning the lottery.

I've already been down that road when a dodge p/u plowed into my wife...no atty or court was interesting in looking at the computer module from that speeding truck...even after I had onstar provide the court with our data from her H3.

These worrysome stories about this happening are just scare tactics. Unless you are diesel brothers or advertise what your doing wrong, you have nothing to fear but your own fear.
If you take it in for warranty work or a recall they will check the computer.

Mabey if there is something related that makes them see a red flag...I took my FE in yesterday to the dealer to get the keyless entry pad programed, spent the whole time looking over the techs shoulder while he tried to do the programming. We had conversations about tuners, forescan, goat modes and a vast array of things I won't share here, but the bottom line is the flash tune is not a red flag when the tech looks into the computer he doesn't see a ”tune” unless he compared the parameters with the stock values. There sys is not set up to find changed code.
In fact it is very limited on what he ( the tech) can adjust or even see. For example he could NOT adjust tire size. Period. Also ,I had to show the tech where the file change needed to be made on the new wireless keypad. So these guys that fix cars are NOT computer gurus. The tech actually said forescan has more adjustable parameters than their ford programmer!

That is basically what I was trying to say. You are just way better at explaining it.

Glad you guys who installed the Whipple cal are enjoying it. I'm loving it on our FE. The Bronco drives just like stock but with the added power and better shift schedule.

For anyone else looking to pick one of these setups up feel free to reach out and we'll be glad to assist you. Next up is the Whipple Intercooler which should be here very shortly!

Stay tuned!!

Let us know when you have a (50% or more) E-85 tune available and I'll snatch that up along with the innercooler!

I have confidence if your company from the Mustang world. Curious how the transmission shifting feels. I don’t want to feel like I am always in sport mode after the tune. Is that the case? Thanks
You could run in eco mode with your new tune and have softer shifts I suppose...but why?

"Check the computer" 😅😅😅😅

This guy needs his faulty softtop latch replaced, we better check "his computer"...

They don't give a **** about your engine module, they will swap the part and move on to the next vehicle. They get payed flat rate, so they aren't going needlessly waste time on a vehicle. The longer they work on your vehicle, the less money they are making.

Our Bronco with the Whipple cal drives just like stock. Shifting is perfect. No aggressive shifts or anything like that. Throttle response is super smooth as well. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Jared

Prefect. My son's 19 Mustang has a tune and the sifts are smooth as you describe. People don't realize that the tune still shifts smoother then "sport mode". Sport mode is fine once in a while but feels jerky for everyday driving. Once my Bronco arrives I will connect with you guys. Great reputation.

Thanks for the kind words! We really appreciate it.

As to the tune and shifting Whipple's cals are done by a lead Ford calibrator partner of theirs so you know you're getting as close to an OEM feel/ride as possible. You also still have all of the factory safety features which sense octane and adjust for it.

Good luck on the delivery of your Bronco! Feel free to reach out at any point and we'll be glad to help you out.
