New Rack! - Grabbed a rack from Ruxer Sale Great price. No issues. Installed that right quick. Got the clamps for my factory Rack, a pack of tie downs, and a truck bed net to keep it all secure.

Ended up with 10x10 canopy, popup tent, tables on it. A lot easier to pack and out of the way

Somehow I had time finished up the camera. Had a the camera cable part from Amazon. Ran to o’reily’s, because they open late. Bought 4’ of washer line. And some plastic tube. Decided is just jumper it over. Doesn’t look half bad.

Even the split screen lines up really nice!

Just short cut through the bottom of the grill zip ties to stay out of the way of the vents inside and the winch spool outside

Got some motivation today! It's also too hot.. but I guess that's better than raining.
Installed one of the Ford Reinforcement hinges at lunch:

yes, it's dirty. Got back from a fun weekend, and my pressure washer is being borrowed I did clean under the old hinge though. Used the tire balance trick (rest tailgate on tire) worked fantastic! Swapped out the hinge, pulled the rubber stopper plug (not mentioned in directions) and lined it all up. took a couple adjustments to close correctly and it is now tightened it in place. (Also spun a bolt through both sides to make sure the threads won't get all bound up first). Not sure anyone did afit check with the old hinge still in place. I think that makes it a lot easier to align.

I do wish they sent it with black matching bolts. Oh well. I 'll just pretend it's carbon grey accents on the gloss black and I'm all fashionable. Or it'll get covered up with the support plate anyway.

Well, took a break and went to thread the bolt thought the bottom hinge holes... and the inside hole started getting messed up. Stopping until I can get a tap to chase through it. Pretty thankful for the forums pointing out validating those holes before I became a victim.

Almost finished this morning. Only need to add the replacement black Bronco Emblem The rubber bumper was a pain! I managed to pull it off screw holding it in place, used pliers amd a screwdriver on it to open it and yank the screw out. So glad kit comes with a replacement! But it’s done. Now I can safely support a ’35” tire’, according to Ford. I plan on adding some weight(5lb Ignik, maybe a tailgate shelf). Keep the old hinges as spares if my sisters starts squeaking, I’ll reuse my old ones on hers.

cleaned up. Silver Bronco removed, both hinges on now!
Yup, hair dryer, dental floss to remove. Scraped sticky off with hairdryer and credit card. Then WD40 a few times and scrubbing it off. Also using credit card as scraper.

I was a little worried, the one bolt hole that was sorta messed was still tight, but it went in just finel

and all done. Black Emblem later though. Reinforcement plate covers up so much of the hinge, I don’t really care it’s not a a matching color.

Im so glad it will support a 35” tire now! Not sure how it did it with stock hinges. /s. Does seem a little stiffer open and closing, and feels really solid. Overall it’s a good upgrade, I won’t worry about my hinges or stress bouncing around, or adding some payload.

Installed Mabett Under-Hood Wiring Harness Bracket Kit I do like it. Not as utilitarian as I usually am. But it really cleaned up the engine firewall. Supported my arb inflator power cables and gave them a nice supported path. Didn’t even occur to me that the vacuum line was just hovering there. Just looks a lot better supported.

got the box and parts, packaged well enough.

Easy to follow instructions. Did the firewall first. Looks a lot nicsr. So glad I was able to have a chase way for all the cables

Before had Arb switch and power cables loosely tie wrapped to the factory line.

I did use my own beefier tie wraps. if I need to add anymore wires, Ill Switch it to Velcro. Really organized that firewall a lot!


the vscuum support bracket was a little harder. Where it bolts in is great! But my holes didn’t line up, I tried all kinds of tricks, like angling it. At one point trying to make it work. Dropped the screw…. Didn’t land on the ground…. Send a magnet down for it.. nothing, felt around on the skid plate… was wondering how I could get another screw, looked past the tire.. and luck was with me:

note: The screws are not very magnetic at all. pickup tool would have have gotten it.


After all that, I noticed the whatever was attached next to it, could move with a deep 13mm (or a wrench!). Loosened it up and all managed to finally fit.

Pic shows what it bumped into…. Loosed that nut and loooks like the the battery brace. Slid it over and it all fits. Tightened it all down

not sure it is a problem,.. but it’s a easy solution. It’s nice to have things suporrted and cleaned.

Had some energy, so I started in the Bluetti Charger1 install.

Pulled up the chase ways…

A lot of trying to figure it out, sliced the grommet and ran the cables out to the battery. This has to be the hardest part. What a huge pain. now that done, need to remove more panels and finish the install.

Too much cursing and no pics. it managed to get these past the grommet. Used an old 8gauge copper ground wire as a pull strung. Then fished each line separately. Tried both first. That was a no go, and ended up popping the grommet this far and decided that was enough for the day.

Top priority should be changing the shifter to a B&M - it completely changes your relationship with the Bronco.

B and M shifter. Install wasn’t too bad. Although I do break the top tab on both clips. Sigh. snapped it in with one tab and tossed on a zip tie until someone either 3d printed these, or ford sales them separately. It did have first gear issues, so cable adjustments were needed and got it tuned up. a couple tries, I had it in neutral and move the shoe on the transmission to give first little less cable, then clipped it in.

not a lot of pics, Followed bro flaps video. But I just pulled the console up from the back of the cupholders instead using the tool to separate like he did. I also used some small Alan wrenches to get the clip out of the old shifter instead of a dental pick.

Now to get used to it.. snappy. Feels pretty gold, and I do like the height. Reused my ford knob, since it’s leather wrapped and matches.

Back to Bluetti.

Got the cargo panel out. Broke one white clip. Sigh, Also seems ford shorted me on an orange clip. But I’ve got the cabing all run and zip ties. Thinking I will exit via the same opening as the washer and wiper cables. Should fit…. Not quite sure where to mount it. Dints notice until i found a Really neat niche, but it needs nearly 8” of clearance on each side…. To be in spec, I can‘t hide it behind the rear taillight. It sure looked nice though. Was having lots of idea about mounting the breaker and an Anderson plug on the panel for a sleek hookup. Oh well.

not going to got work, but it fits so nicely…

It seems a zip tie to the back head rest to hold it is more acceptable.

I’ll figure out later, gotta get clips and button it back up in a few days.

This might seem like a silly question but what are you trying to mount in the above picture? the tow package module?

No, not a tow kit. I was back to the Bluetti Charger1 install. I started it. Got the B&M shifter in and switched to installing the shifter. This was going BACK to work on the Bluetti.

Charger1 done. I’ve got it temp in place due to the “the 7 clear space from all the sides”. Although other Bluetti YouTube seem a little lax on that, “just needs proper airflow”. lol which seems to be to Their unpublished discretion. I’ll probably move it this winter..

zip tied to head rest, (their video said to do it!!). We’ll see. Also found now I need to get a cable to go from solar connector to XTC60.

Also attached the dark bronco.

Took it out for forest service roads for a few hours today. Getting used to the shifter.

Bullet PointTablet holder. Replaced my hack mount with a real one. A lot more solid. My old one would start resting on the dash and I was too afraid of wearing a spot on it. BulletPoint allowed me to get the adjustable rubber stand, and helps manage the USB cable, too.

I ended up with an adjustable arm to figure out the distance. I did find that even it you lock that arm.. it will still rotate if there is something heavy, like a pad, on it. In otherwords, the adjustable arm locks in and out.. not rotating. If I add more, I think I'll replace it with a fixed length.

Same location lower than Dash. Didn't put the Go pro on yet.. that''ll be later, but I finally have a mount for it.

For now, I use it for my phone when I don't need my tablet hooked online.

Easier to watch Gaia and track, mark spots. I like not having to reach up high to the dash. It's right next to the main display, so visually I can see a lot quickly.

Most likely, I will add more things. I have the Go Pro mount, and a spare arm from the tablet/arm kit. I'm still mulling over the options....

Wife likes it a lot better than the other one. Much sleeker look.

Well, had to get one item and I would be at Fords Blue tier level for the next year. So the Ford Performance Hood Lift Kit it is. Was one of the easiest installls so far! it is a lot nicer not messing with the hood prop. It will probably spoil me on a different vehicle and I’ll ed up trying to shut it with the prop in, or I’ll open it and drop the hood. It’s nice not having a prop in the way, the shocks are back pretty well, open and close is easy. Now I can show offthe Mabett Engine tray. This will make airing up a lot easier to deal with, not to mention the extra height is noticeable. So far so good

Yah engine bays dirty. I did was the outside though…
