I wonder if Ford ever second-guesses insisting on dealership delivery.

I'd have gladly paid the same delivery & destination fee for a local pickup appointment.
I imagine them running a shuttle from the airport to the rally point, and what a fun ride that would be crammed in an Econoline with 10 other people just as excited to get theirs.

And what a wild adventure for the get-to-know-you process of driving a new vehicle to be the long road back home.

Edit: congratulations on your new vehicle! I'm sure it's not the joy you were hoping for with a Bronco, but I hope it suits your needs and staves off the hunger of needing one while you wait for indefinite delivery.

I’m going to look and see what I can find this week and not make any decisions until Monday or Tuesday. I’ll have to do something very soon. My son will need his truck back before long.

Anyone from 6/30 ship or receive their Bronco?

Mine was built 06/30, shipped via Rail 07/07 and arrived/unloaded yesterday 07/18, about an hour from the dealership. Now waiting on a car carrier to deliver it, and who knows how long that will take. My ETA still stands at 07/28 to 08/02.

Interesting how in every build week, some get shipped in a reasonable time frame and others just spin their wheels. They put out a couple to keep the rest of us "pumped"

I went to my dealer yesterday (first time in person) to see how much they would give me for my GT350 (they had already given me a number sight unseen). My salesman was on vacation, so I got a different guy. I guess my salesman called and gave this guy the down low on my situation.

Dude came out and said, "you already got a trade in price, right? What is your reasoning for being here?" I said to see if we could bump up the trade in value. He pretty much went off and said, you're getting a Raptor, at MSRP, you can turn around and sell it for $25k more than what you're paying, we're not budging on your trade in value, but I'll go out and look at it to make sure it's what you said it is.

He goes out and checks the GT350 out, loves it, changes his tone. Goes back inside, runs his numbers and said, "I would have never given you that much for the GT350, your salesman gave you a very generous number (not really IMO)." Continues to explain how other dealers are selling their new vehicles for over MSRP, and how they're still doing $50 over invoice for all of their new vehicles.

Left a very bad taste in my mouth. Glad he isn't my salesman, but dang dude.

Mine was a 6/29 blend 6/30 build and it was shipped on 7/7 and yesterday it arrived to a rail yard about 25 minutes from the dealership which was 2 days earlier than CSX had said. Now begins the wait for a truck, I have an ETA of 7/25-7/31.

Many ETAs coming up in the next week or so, will be interesting to see how many meet it.

I had a blend of 6/30. It changed to built on 7/13 and is still awaiting shipment. I keep telling myself that I got the good QC guy who found all the errors and had them corrected. Unlike those poor folks that had the rubber-stamp QC guy and were immediately shipped with all the un-corrected mistakes. Trying to be glass half-full.

I have been using the united road app to track vehicles from the rail yard to the dealer. Seems to be very accurate so far. My Bronco is currently in inactive status which I believe means has not been offloaded from the rail car. When vehicles go to pending pickup, it appears they are in this state for several days prior to getting on a truck to dealer. I confirmed with my salesmen this am that they got 3 Broncos which the app said they did. Sure enough, 3 delivered. So now I just need it to come up with my vin in pending Pickup status.

Just called in through CSX, Bronco loaded on 7/17 and scheduled to arrive in Lawrenceville GA on 7/24. Could still get it by the end of the month!

The rail car was "constructively placed" last night about 25 minutes from the dealership and now I have nothing to incessantly track and just have to wait until I hear from the dealership that it was delivered, and my delivery ETA isn't until next week.

Anyone know who Ford’s vendor for Bronco wheels is? One of the Michigan shops was raided and employees sent home by the FBI.
