you'd think after all that time it'd be easy to wait the next 2 (hopefully) months and yet........

Today is 565 for me. I swear I'm not counting.
568 today. Will go over 600 (at least) before delivery. I’ve earned this.

You'd think. I might have mentioned this earlier in this thread (who knows, my brain is mush), but one thing I have going for me potentially is that if my build does hold, or relatively close anyhow, I am only 2 hours and 45 minutes from MAP. So if I dodge the "hold for chip" bullet or any of a hundred other bullets, it will get to Cleveland relatively quickly (within a couple weeks after rolling off the line, unless of course the truckers continue to protest. I had to pause just now, the only damn thing that is in my control is making sure I have the money to slap down on this bad boy when it shows up. Guess I should stop worrying about the rest :ROFLMAO: like that;s gonna happen.

Well now we play the waiting game to see if we will end up on "Ice Mountain" when our production dates come up. I'm hoping that it is just for a few weeks of builds but honestly who knows at this point.

I’d say we all deserve a drink of y’all’s choice whenever our Broncos arrive! I’ve got a Colorado Whiskey Barrel Aged Stout that’s 15.4% I’m toasting ours towards when she arrives 😎👊🏻🍺🥃🍹

Well you’ll certainly gets yours sooner than mine as I’m way down South in Houston, TX so she’s got some traveling to do before she’s here lol!

Random thought. If there are chip delays now and Ford is continuing to schedule builds and gave most of us an actual build date, does it stand to reason that Ford expects some chips to start coming in and maybe this chip thing will blow over and miss us? Am I wishful thinking it is this rational?

We know that they are keeping the line running at MAP, and we know there are a bunch of Broncos that rolled off of the line at MAP recently that ended up in a holding lot. We don't know if there is something specific about your build that makes you more or less likely to end up on ice mountain, and we don't know what the process is for getting Broncos off of ice mountain.
I think that whenever they have the components to address whatever is causing Ice Mountain they will add those components to vehicles going down the line, while also grabbing Ice Mountain builds randomly like they did with Dirt Mountain.
So not wishful thinking, if they have chips (or whatever) by the time our vehicles are going down the line we may avoid Ice Mountain completely.

Jan 24 week here. We had the same line of thought, until this afternoon most of us had mid February estimated delivery date (EDD) on our pizza tracker. Today we were updated to a new EDD that was 90 days out, which matches what happened to each of the three build weeks before us.

Wish you the best of luck, just noting you might want to pop into the build pages for the last few weeks and check them out.

Yeah I did that yesterday and it pretty much solidified for me that we weren't going to dodge any bullets. I was on the phone with my GM yesterday and he said of the four he has built sitting at MAP, they all have the tow package on them. No idea if there is any correlation, but I am still convinced that me dropping it three weeks ago is what got me picked up later that very same week. He also reiterated how big of a problem they were having shipping units out because of the lack of trucking.

Oh boy. It seems highly unlikely that we wouldn't fall under the same 3+ month delay then. I mean we literally don't know since Ford is unlikely to communicate it but it'd be weird to not expect the same problem - if they can't fulfill yours for 3 months idk why ours would be any different.

I have been curious as the what is causing a delay, the orders seem all over the place. I was thinking maybe the tow package, auto start/stop, airbag stuff or something that every trim shares.

On that note, "my dealer" confirmed I am in 2/28 now and seems to think by then we won't have chip delays. I am skeptical.

I want to hope your dealer is right. From what I can gather, and there is no proof of this, is that this is being caused by a bad batch of chips. So, Ford has held all of the broncos effected by them back. This is looking like it is a few weeks of builds. If this is the case I would have to assume subsequent build weeks would not have the bad chips and hopefully by the time it gets to our build week the chips are good. I assume they'll treat it like dirt mountain and keep the line moving and use any extra chips for ice mountain broncos.
