So what is the difference between ASN and On Hold?

I only ask because Ford CS told me a week ago that my vehicle was on hold and would not be released from hold until April 13th. As you can see my vehicle status is ASN.

I’m not sure? I thought it meant it’s assigned to a Carrier

I've given up at this point with our 2/26 built date and pushed back 5 times now for shipping now saying 4/4 (dont believe it). I quit even looking at the tracker and plan on hearing something in maybe June. This will be our first new Ford and Its very frustrating with how poor communication is from them. Twice now my wife has said, lets just go order another 4runner. I just hate that Toyota, while bulletproof, is 10 years behind on technology.

Totally same boat here... Ive always owned Ford vehicles and its beyond frustrating for me also... basically we all considered jumping ship but i dont know what else we would consider... im not a fan of any other brands really...

I believe ASN is advanced ship notice.

FWIW I just used order tracking to track my Big Bend Bronco and it is also listed as ASN and pending and I took delivery of it in September. I was hopeful since my WildTrak has ASN and pending that it was making progress, but now......

Checked my Big Bend PCM modules and none are present though it does have 4 digit tear tag; my WildTrak only has 3 digit tear tag.

Or at least not give us a ETA that they know is false and get our hopes up

I have heard both it matters and it doesn’t so not sure?

I have no clue. I used to think the PCM modules had to pop to mean something, but my Big Bend has ran fine the past 7 months with no PCM modules populated so there's that.

It's anybody's guess.

Hi everyone, been following all of you for awhile. Thanks for all of your input/knowledge getting me thru to this point! I’m a 3/2 blend, 3/3 production and then radio silence….Chatted a couple weeks ago with ford chat and was told I was going to be in production until 3/29 even though dealer told me delivery eta was 3/23-3/25. No one on the same page, lol. I noticed I went from on hold to now showing ASN like most of you finally. Went from convoy to rail which is good since I’m in SoCal and WS said rail but went from pending shipment to “unknown.” Any insight on the unknown? Like they don’t know if it’s ever coming kind of unknown? Ha! Just curious if anyone else had unknown also. Thanks!
