Are you flying out and picking up or shipping in?
Still undecided. Shipping quotes all seem to be about $1,050, and I figure flying out will run me $500 - $600. A dollar amount is close enough that I’ll just do whatever is most convenient. I am going to wait and decide when the truck gets there. It’s hard to really plan when you don’t know what actual date it’ll be. What are you doing?

Likely flying out. Use points on Delta. But those one way flights have gone bonkers for most dates(40k miles). Only one direct from SLC and is at 9pm. Like you still playing by ear, but would like to meet folks at Granger and shake some hands. Make most of road trip back.

For those who were stuck in production from early August but didn’t get ‘built’ until September, did they at least add the hard top prep kit?
no hard top prep kit. But I'm not too worked up about it. I'm not getting a hard top for a long time. I figure I need to wire the wiper, the defrost and the washer fluid. Or screw it.

Thanks for responding! That’s B.S. minimum Ford could do after holding it so long…

I need to know how you got your hands on TD5 defenders?? You putting the TD in older frames?

You know, you have me thinking. I might try to argue this point with my dealer. They said soft tops built in September would have the prep kit. I realize my rig was built on 8/9 and then probably had quality control repairs completed on 9/11. But the ford tracker says built on 9/11.

I'm going to bring this up with them.

Does anyone have an answer from Ford or their dealer as to why there soft top is still "in Production"? I'm at 48 days in production now. Dealership just tells me that there isn't anything in my order that should be holding it up but other Broncos, with later build dates are arriving at the dealership.

Crickets. I went back and forth on direct/email thru this site with Ford - they were gathering info - i (in naïve fashion) expected some substantive response. Guess not.

Update - my inquiry has now been passed off to the "SUV Team" - if (IF!?) there is any assistance or information the SUV Team can offer, they will reach out to me within a few business days.

I am obviously not holding my breath - but will keep everyone advised.

Please do, I’m in the same boat and it’s driving me crazy. I switched to soft to get it sooner and now it’s looking (best case) like it’ll save me 3 weeks. I’m annoyed but also incredibly excited.

It’s awesome and the wait feels worth it.
I’ll post pictures later

I'm also in FL - did you tracker(s) update/did you receive emails - or did you just get a call from your dealer - "It's here". Congrats by the way - very happy for you.
