Sure, you can. You can also tap the WASHER button too, but it is just funny how you get used to a seeming trivial feature. Here is Texas, we don't get a lot of storms, but misty/sprinkle showers it was nice to just wipe once every so often and have to deal with the gaps in intermittent settings.
