Nice are those the ones where you shredded the gears? Looking to build those things back up?
Also would be interesting to know if the ELD and non-ELD diffs are interchangeable within ELD/non-ELD housings. I am guessing no since ARB lists their M220 locker as not compatible with Jeeps or Broncos...
@Bmadda @Brian_B I appreciate you guys. Brian I found the post you mentioned with length measurements, quoted below.
I have the open diff so I have been scheming on what to do with it. Personally I don't think I am going to be hard enough on it to warrant a UD60, especially since I just plan...
That Spicer catalog is excellent, thank you very much. Also thanks for confirming that there are different axle shaft lengths. I find it interesting that the catalog says the shafts are different part numbers but they are one of the only items they did not tell you what the part numbers are...
Killer, thanks for the info.
I find it super interesting that some come with the sway bar and some don't. Would be curious if anyone has driven both variants and been able to notice a big difference
I am trying to piece together info on the factory rear axles to see what opportunities there are for upgrade, interchangeability in the event of a trail break etc. If any of you have additional information, please post up below
What I have found so far (please correct me if I am wrong on any...
I see what your saying, step 1 from Werewolf is usually "bolt adapter to axle". So even if they don't have a kit you just have to make an adapter and figure out shafts, brakes and abs, if applicable.
Don't get me wrong guys, I think casting is awesome and can be a great design choice. Look at one ton knuckles and Currie/Dynatrac/UD60 diff housings. Certified angus beef.
Respectfully, I just don't trust the expertise of the guy who is about to add another 30 lbs to this problem and says...
Does your Bronco have a rear swaybar from factory?
I have seen a two door that did not have a rear swaybar and have been wondering which models get them and which don't.
Buddy can't even show us a physical product and is already pressing print on run 2
I remember not too long ago watching Robby Gordon live stream, boots on the ground, from overseas as he set up his Speed UTV supply chain. Even just seeing it online gave me anxiety. It would have been pretty...
Import cast units going on sale to the public today with a June delivery according to IG.
There's a reason people don't think portals do well at high speeds. Cast iron housing have caused overheating issues in Mercedes (and other) designs.
We can look at a bolt-on application that has a...
Say I buy one of your first import portal sets, it gets installed and I'm super happy. You sell out of the first 10 and everyone is pumped so you put an order in for 20 more. Five months in, I give you a call saying a gearbox seized up on the highway. Let's say hypothetically iron doesn't shed...
You know I was thinking... Let's assume Tyler's telling the truth that Tibus doesn't design or manufacture anything. He just described himself. This would be the same as someone going to Brackin Machine and snaking his supply chain for the clamp and diff tube.
AUSTIN, WHERE YOU AT??
For anyone else joining late, the TL/DR is
-Broncbuster announced their own portal line
-Tibus accused Broncbuster of stealing his IP, stiffing him for $28k and being a fraud.
-Tyler accused Tibus of being a fraud, says he found Tibus' source and cut Tibus out
I think we have a lot of the same concerns and I can respect that you're trying to take an objective look by removing the personality. I have a hard time doing this because, as I see it, what he has is a personality.
What I can objectively point to that backs up my claim of recklessness is...
