21228 could be the upper limit for this current Recall
So far no one has posted higher than 21228 with the recall notice. We're talking original engines - not replacements
Right. You got it. There's no big mystery
The Production Constraints threads list the "US Capacity" and "Order Bank" percentages for each trim. And these numbers stay mostly the same for many months on end. Even year to year they don't change much. Last couple years in the standard trims Black...
Had same color in my 2000 R1. Lots of fun
The lousy Yamaha clutch baskets eventually pushed me into Hondas
And here one of many rentals in SE Asia. Did lots of zipping around the backroads wearing sandals and tank top. One time rented R1 over there also
I had five alignments done on lifted Broncos at three different alignment shops. The Sasquatch rings stayed in place. They were not removed for any of the alignments or lifts
In the 20k service I'm wondering if they did anything with the spark plugs
Changed the spark plugs ?
It sounds like one of your spark plug cables got loose and was just sparking against nearest thing in the engine bay then caused something to ignite
If they total it maybe good for you. Sounds...
Unless you're extreme rock-crawling all you need is Leveling Kit and re-alignment then add your 37's to your factory SQ wheels no problem
In lots of very rugged off-roading the only rubbing I've had is reverse at full lock, and we're talking minor rubbing - almost nothin
Broncos are just...
Well others have posted 23+ w freeway driving included. I'm driving medium speed County roads w very few stops & no freeway. So it's still similar to the others
Could be something w the tires also. Those factory GY's are only 52 lbs and C-rated. These Yoko's are 76 lbs and D-rated. Definitely...
Yes
No other lift - factory SQ wheels. Yokohama Geolander M/T 37's - (spec 36.8)
Never any rubbing going Forward, even very rugged off-road.
In Reverse w full-lock some occasional minor rubbing.
Never any for rear axle.
Round-trip 22.5 MPG from today. Back to same starting point
22 to 23 MPG on County roads 35-60 mph
2Dr Black Diamond w SQ pkg, 2.3L Auto
37's w 1.25" leveling kit
Mobil 1 Full Synthetic
Exxon Premium 91 - (no 93 here in higher elev)
For correct MPG have to recal speedo/odo for your larger tires
MPG less on freeway 80 mph
Broncos have many great...
Maybe Ford and their product lines will be taken over (bought out) by one of the Japanese companies. Then we could have Broncos made by Honda. Best of all worlds ?
In these endless repair situations another good option is BBB Auto Line ( 800-955-5100 ) and open a case w them. They will arbitrate for you free and get Ford's full attention. This option is described deep in the Bronco Owner's Manual - somewhere near the end. I'd do this before any...
This would be expensive recall. Earlier I believe @flip or @Bmadda commented that doing full valve & head replacements could be tediuos/risky for many dealer service depts. Full engine replacement could be better, more productive, more reliable. Bronco engine replacements run about $12k. Recall...
On the other hand, cynicism is not a good look for either side of the table. Those leaked texts could splinter the membership support for their UAW "bosses"
Then strike could end sooner than later
Right, all these newer turbo technologies make it impossible to compare displacements with earlier engines. My old 4Runner has 3.0L w only 150hp. This 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 Bronco is by far the most powerful engine I've ever owned. It's my first "hot rod" ! !
