Mine did it constantly and it was loud. It wasn't random so the engine got replaced after arguing with them over and over. Definitely the bottom end of the motor. Funny how it wasn't a problem but they replaced the engine and I haven't had an issue since.

Just start pulling on the panel and it will pop off. It's flimsy but pull hard. You can order new tabs on amazon for $6. This way you can avoid dealer. Good Luck!

I’m a big fan of the Baja Boss. I have them on a Jeep. Not that I’m against the other but the Baja Boss are really really good and pretty true to size unlike a BFG. I’m sure both are great so you can’t make a bad decision.
