We rented a Jimny in Iceland and it was so much fun! So lightweight and nimble. Funny enough, we saw at least a half-dozen G6 Broncos there, every one of them was a Wildtrack.

Also almost 18" longer than a Bronco 4-door. Big Scout won't even fit in my garage........

My wife and I were just there this past weekend (8/31 Roadeo). It was great! Very helpful guides who really showcase the capabilities of these awesome machines. Also, my wife learned a ton about spotting and also did some wheeling as well. All in all it was a fantastic experience.

I'm just over 2,500 miles and I haven't noticed any strange noises during shifting. The only quibble I have is that the 4-5 shift is not as smooth as the 2-3 shift. Maybe it's the longish throw? Either way, I'm a big engine braking guy, and downshifting has been pretty much flawless.

To my knowledge, there is no stipulation as far as which direction you travel. From what I've read, some start at the north and go south, and others do the opposite. We started at the south and moved north, traversing maybe 15-20% of the trail. This was our taster, but left us wanting to...

So glad I installed by GatorBack mud flaps before my first off pavement adventure. The Goodyear's certainly pick up and throw a lot of rocks. It sounded horrible, but the flaps protected my doors, not a single ding.

I would have been able to add a pic of me pulling a Uhaul trailer this week. However, they won't allow me to rent a trailer because I have a soft top..... Apparently this is a thing. Checked some Wrangler forums and they won't rent to soft top Jeeps either. Ya learn something new every day....
