dealer says they can hear the sound all the way through 6th gear. They said they were waiting to hear from ford and that they would probably have to open it up or replace it. I think with all the problems I have read here, I would like them to open it up and fix the problem than roll the dice...

Well, I just picked my badlands up on Monday. Tuesday morning I started it up only to hear this grinding noise. Dropped it off today at 9am and nobody called me all day. Guess we will see tomorrow. Bad start. I wish I saw this thread before, I would have ran it slow and would have caught it...
