Potentially dumb question but is hill start assists for manual Broncos or something else? All my cars have been manuals, so I only know it from the assist a lot of new manual cars have that rolls you forward on a hill when the clutch is lightly disengaged, to prevent rolling back.
Yes? And?
That’s for reservations not orders. Ford won’t let me change my order to a new dealership when we go to update for a MY22. Unless they have more dealer issues and decide to be nice next month.
And then you’ll get to go to the very end of the line for a Bronco and lose your price protection. I’ve spoken to Ford CS twice on the phone and they’re still saying it’s not possible to switch dealers for the updated order. All I could do was file a “formal complaint” 🙄 I’d have to cancel my...
How would you resubmit with a new dealer though? When I talked to Ford CS on the phone they said it wasn’t possible. But fingers crossed that’s not the case.
they’re the same ones that said I’d go down in the order line if I put in a new order, because they’re still allegedly trying to fill...
If you figure out how to switch dealers, let me know. Ford CS told me on the phone you can’t even when the new order banks open for MY22.
The only option they gave was to wait until new reservations potentially open, with out the price guarantee, and place a full new order at the end of the line.
Ugh, two weeks ago they told me it was opening this week and they didn’t know if we could switch dealers then. I don’t think they know what’s going on either tbh.
when you log into the Ford website, it doesn’t give you an order number? It should have the order date, order number and a green “Ordering with Dealer” at the top.
Otherwise it will just say something about a reservation.
We had someone in our neighborhood do that. It was posted to the neighborhood Facebook group but no one claimed the car. Not gonna lie, I laughed pretty hard.
I’m guessing they locked the doors with it running, since no one turned it off.
Ford would have to actually give a shit what their dealers do for that to be the case.
So I’m calling CS or whatever random number Ford CS told me on Twitter to call and switching to a new dealer. I’ll have to out in a new order anyway for a MY22 now, so I’m hoping it’s not a pain in the ass to...
That's exactly what they're doing. We were there the day it came on the lot because we were promised a test drive. GM said no. Now they're claiming it went straight in to their loaner program and no one with a reservation was ever allowed to drive it. It's nuts.
Ugh, my dealer still wants $99/night + tax with a 4 night minimum to "test drive" their demo. I'm really considering calling Ford tomorrow and seeing if I can still switch dealers. It's not like they're fulfilling my order soon anyway.
Not to freak you out, but I had a dealer call two weeks ago to see if I was interested in a 4dr manual badlands because they had submitted changes to an order months ago, but Ford sent the original order configuration to thendealer
Anyone looking for a Badlands manual 4dr soft-top?
Not sure if someone has snatched it up already, but as of Friday it was still available for sale at a Philly area dealer. Spec sheet sent to me says:
Area 51 paint, black vinyl seats, 17" gray wheels, 33" tires, front axel-locking diff, $46058...
There's a dealer by me with one with a VIN assigned but no delivery date quite yet that they're taking deposits on. They also have a manual transmission 4dr soft top available ASAP.
If you're wanting a soft top, you could probably start reaching out to dealers directly because there are...
I’m only in town visiting family, but if I didn’t live so far away now I’d strongly consider switching my order to their dealership. Leaps and bounds better than what I’ve been dealing with in PA.
I don’t know if/how moving and order would affect my place in line though. But I’m getting close...
I just test drove and was coming to post about it! They’re more than happy to let people test drive it (even said “that’s what it’s for”) and were super friendly. Big change from the dealer my order is with…thank god.
Oh it’s a demo. They even said so when we were at the dealership. I left a grumpy comment on their Facebook post about having a bronco for sale “soon”. But maybe I’ll forward their email telling us we had to pay to drive it to @Ford Motor Company CS as well.
