  1. Adding Stabilizer Bar Disconnect from a Badlands to my Wildtrack

Yeah, the upfitters are relayed and fused. I'd still be worried about a spike in current on the lower rated upfitter circuits. The tricky part here is the stabilizer bar locks without current run to it, so if you pop a fuse halfway up a trail or feature, it could make for a very rough time...
  2. Adding Stabilizer Bar Disconnect from a Badlands to my Wildtrack

Great work! A safer way to wire it up would undoubtedly be through a relay, directly to the battery, with a dedicated fuse. It’s not clear to me how much current it’ll draw in various climates and conditions. That said, I did not expect it to be this easy to get working!

We are the information. Ford does not disclose anything about mechanical problems until they have a potential fix (TSB) or result in a recall
  4. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

You told your service department you’re aware of an issue, refusing service for the issue that has a TSB, and will drive it until you damage more components? What makes you think they’ll honor your warranty claim at all after that? They have every right to deny you a transmission replacement now...
  5. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

you highly underestimate the laziness of some service departments, or the outright disregard for work that does not pay out well enough to be valuable for them
  6. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

The original version of the synchro was -C. It’s only been revised once so far, to version -D. I doubt there’s enough data to know whether -D has a high enough success rate to be considered a definitive fix or not yet. It’s possible that folks who got the -D synchro replacement had other damage...
  7. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

There are engineering part numbers and part numbers. -AA is an engineering part number I believe whereas -A or -E is the part number you’d actually order
  8. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

The cliff notes were on page 185
  9. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

you got the original transmission part number, not the updated -E revision transmission part number
  10. šŸ“ø šŸ”ļø Long Weekend in Yosemite

Hey folks! Wanted to post some images from our evening in Yosemite — we’re up here for the weekend, and decided to put the ARB 47qt fridge to the test, as well as the tailgate table and stove setup. Ignore the mess in the trunk as we were very eager to eat some dinner at that point šŸ˜‚ Yosemite...
  11. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

This is a 187 page thread about the TSB, repair, issue symptoms, etc. Yes people have had the TSB work done. People have also had transmissions replaced. We have no definitive information on what works, but we know transmission replacements and TSB work with the original version of these parts...
  12. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Synchros are rev -D Transmission assemblies are rev -E
  13. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Warranties don’t help much if your dealer refuses to give you a loaner, and parts are back ordered 6 months
  14. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

It is pretty funny that their last seen (banned) and account created dates line up šŸ˜‚
  15. What Happens On Your Build Date?

Well, hopefully your truck is built
  16. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

That’s great! And super lucky you didn’t have to wait for the -D synchros on back order like the rest of us.
  17. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Probably says more about the hours Ford is paying out for the job. I sincerely doubt the 9.6 or whatever’s listed on the TSB is anywhere close to enough for these techs to take their time and check their work.
  18. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

This sounds like they broke the cylinder when removing the transmission.
  19. Manual transmission scraping noise / grinding sound

Most of the parts listed are single use bolts and fasteners. The synchros themselves were revised from ending in -C to ending in -D
