Why high zinc? I know old cars (pre roller) needed it. This is the first I've heard of high zinc for new cars.

Well said. Personally, I really dislike bright "look at me" colors. In the way back, Mopar's "plum crazy" etc colors were gimmicky and popular for a short time. After a short few years, dealers had a hard time selling crazy color cars without deep discounts.

Some years ago, Ford did have ventilated seats in some cars. After a few years of driving, the "vents" got clogged with sweat & dirt. Impossible to clean.

thanks. if I spend big bucks on a wrap, I don't want it to look like less. had a new '78 black trans am. had a definite gold flake until I waxed a few times (I'd bet most fans of the car don't know that). My last new car. I want what I want.

mine will be carbonized gray metallic. does "metallic" mean metal flake? I like the flat old school look but would not want to lose the "metal flake".

I'm small town. I jumped from Granger to my local guy. 2nd or 3rd generation that's always depended on locals. If they did this to anyone in the county, word would spread fast. As it is, its a well respected viable business. make $10 on one sale or $20 on 10 sales

Some 3.5's have both. at 10 years old, yours probably doesn't. As you pointed out, driving style has a lot to do with engine longevity. Maybe it would have been better to have said dual, or port injection has the advantage helping valves stay clean.

For me, the issue is fuel injection. Several mechanics have told me that direct injection motors will eventually have carboned valve issues. 2.3 is direct injection. 2.7 has direct and port injection. Port injection keeps the valves clean.
