Ford will use anything to void the warranty so I would not tell them you used it and personally I wouldn't use anything other than soap and water on it.

I think the logic for just soap & water is because the failure rates on the MIC tops is so high that you don't want to give Ford an excuse to invalidate a warranty claim.

This group of what look like Roma gypsies has been captured on a couple of different dash cams pulling this stunt. Imagine how many they've pulled where no dash cam footage was available. I get so angry when I see these incidents and hope that by now the police have caught them.
