May 19th update. Figured if (and not sure it *is* true) that if Ford is cannibalizing some of the 53K vehicles to keep the line moving, it might have an impact on the value of those vehicles. Changing the value of those vehicles might require changes to Ford's financial statements.
While I'm...
Given that Farley has been at the helm of this and other rollout disasters--the Explorer comes to mind--I feel confident in predicting that they are going to butcher the #F150Lightning rollout as well.
A good opportunity to remind all to jump on the #DirtMountainBronco Twitter campaign and do...
Exactly. If they just told the truth or, hell, anything, about what was going on, it would be better.
Ford is just a mass of incompetent dolts that can't learn from past mistakes.
Thanks I will. Haven't branched out to the Porsche dealer yet. One issue with an SQ5 that's landing at my dealer is that adaptive cruise and some of the lane assist stuff doesn't come with the car, due to chip/module deletes.
For me, adaptive cruise is a must because of my long distance driving...
The thing that I find the most upsetting is Ford's inability to learn.
They had Dirt Mountain 1.0 with the MIC top problem last summer.
It's like they never did a post-mortem on what what wrong there, identified a communication problem, and developed some way to address it *just in case* it...
Date changed for me to 7/26. Had to talk the nice guy on the phone into a $100 gift card, which he did give me.
I'm done. Now looking at alternative vehicles--Audi QS5 Sportback is the leader in the clubhouse, if I can find one.
I have no hope that I'll get mine on July 26th.
Here's the vent...
Update to the campaign:
Keep up the pressure folks. We may at least be getting under their skin a little, as intern Levine snipped out a link to a global chip shortage article the other day. Link here:
He's being a little petulant, not a good trait for a communications professional.
**NEW**...
I get suspended for 24-48 hours on occasion cheering Ukrainians sending Russian scum back home in body bags, which is my other cause.
Sometimes my enthusiasm for cargo 200 gets the best of me.
Don’t worry about too many in a row. The key is volume. More is more.
and folks, if you’re on Twitter make sure you like and retweet anything with the #DirtMountainBronco tag. More is more.
I’ll hang on until I find something available. My buddy just showed up with an Audi SQ5 sportback that looks great. If my dealer had one, I’d jump on it and forget the Bronco.
