  1. Hard top users - what is your plan of attack for summer?

That seems crazy to me. I've had my hard top off/on probably 20 times last summer. Most times it was only a few hours. The longest was 5 days or so. I don't consider it laborious at all. It takes me and my wife 8.5 minutes to remove all 4 pieces of the hard top and the same amount of time...
  2. Post your Bronco's garage mates!

I'm a person of extremes (riding high... riding low). Life's too short for practicality. :)
  3. Wind Noise and the Light Bar

I have the light bar and use it both with and without the rack. You just need both versions of the brackets. No disconnect required and can then keep the light bar even when fully topless. So my steps are: 1) Remove the light bar from the brackets 2) Remove the roof rack 3) Mount the non-roof...
  4. Flagpole mount recommendation (with Rough Country tailgate support)

Seeking recommendations on a sturdy flagpole mount. I have a RC tailgate support. What's everyone using and how's it holding up?
  5. Squeaking brakes? (FORD ignoring this problem!!)

So I went in for my first service four weeks ago. Mentioned the squeaking brakes that started shortly after ownership. Also mentioned that there are many owners complaining of the same exact thing here. The response was... "These brakes suck... it's something with the pads... all these...
  6. CarPlay so slow Ford, it’s 2023.

Uhh, nope. 8" here with Black Diamond. 10 months of ownership and use it for several hours each day. Never once have I observed any slowness using CarPlay wirelessly. Must be your phone.
  7. CarPlay so slow Ford, it’s 2023.

Wireless CarPlay every day for 10 months of ownership. Not once have I experienced any sort of lag or delay. Only issue (like others) is the occasional no connection at vehicle start but I don't blame the vehicle because it happens in all our other brands of vehicles too.
  8. CACTUS GRAY Bronco Club

Just bumping this pic as a reminder of how much I miss the warm weather. I've been suffering from topless/doorless withdrawal for 3 months now. :(
  9. JL Audio Subwoofer Stealthbox for Bronco Update

Got me! :sneaky: Clicked this thread assuming I'd see a date, not the same response someone last posted the first week of December and they've been saying since early November. No update I guess.
  10. Full Range to rear speakers

Yes, make the recommended changes and ignore everything "F OR D" is saying that it doesn't work. It indeed does. I tested it with various audio test tones. There's also video evidence that has been uploaded here.
  11. Kicker Key Amp 200.4 Install DIY Video - Do this first!

We’re about to get into semantics but I will state this factually… I have used a 40, 50, 60, 80, 100, 150, 200Hz test file played through the stock stereo and speakers. With the fader set all the way forward (front channel only) all of those test files played through the stock kick panel...
  12. Kicker Key Amp 200.4 Install DIY Video - Do this first!

Yes. The thing to keep in mind here is that typically folks set subwoofer crossovers at 60Hz. So 60Hz and below gets you that bigger BOOM and anything above 60Hz is handled by other speakers in the soundstage. So that in mind, 6.5" speakers that have a range starting at 65Hz are designed for...
  13. Amp Research Powersteps Installation Tips

Having had these since July, I cant imagine why someone would want to do that. So if you open a passenger side door, you'd first have to go around to the other side and manually activate the switch? Tapping into the wiring with a Posi-tap is a no-brainer because it can be removed at any...
  14. Questions on base audio config

I'm sure this information is likely buried in some other threads but it seems that some of this info is difficult to navigate through threads that are 30-60+ pages deep. My question(s) are around the base front speaker setup (dash and kick panel speakers)... Based on a wiring diagram I ran...
  15. 🔊 SSV 6.5 inch Speaker Pod Option

I have these on the way as well for my 4-door. Not sure why SSV told you it would fit the 2-door because their website has stated they do not fit the 2-doors ever since they posted them (Amazon site does not specify). See red text at bottom. I don't like how big the Mabett's are or how...
  16. AMP Research power steps backordered? - get them now...

From a functional standpoint, they are my favorite mod to date. I've had them around 6 months now and each and every time I open my door, I smile and casually enter the lifted Bronco. No issues at all with them. They work absolutely great. Don't see why you'd need a second motor and didn't...
  17. Squeaking brakes? (FORD ignoring this problem!!)

Most of us started off that way. It progresses to a constant noise under all conditions.
  18. Squeaking brakes? (FORD ignoring this problem!!)

I appreciate that this comment was well-intended but I'm an expert level mechanic and fabricator. I tear cars (and motorcycles) down to bare metal and do full rebuilds/restores and parts fabrication/welding myself. I rebuild motors and transmissions myself as well. There is nothing that...
