Personal experience is EVERY ICE failure I've had in the last 25 years has been electronics/ electrical not mechanical. The most recent was my 2020 Wrangler's secondary failing lithium ESS battery killing the primary AGM battery when the vehicle sat overnight.
No argument at all on the Jeep...
Now that's funny. 🤣
Yeah sure...He owned six planes as of the date of his passing all had environmental impact saving auto start stop. They are a N990FL – Falcon 900EX, N920JB – Pilatus PC-12, N208JB – Cessna 208 Caravan, N928J – Grumman Albatross (retired), N48550 – Grumman Goose and N43320 –...

Is that your argument against increasing the core protection from degrading elements or just a reiteration of your previous statement: "You just can't know that your "fix" actually "fixed" anything"?
I agree with you, we'll probably never know...

Uh, cardboard can be both flexible and strong until water gets involved.. Alot like my electrical engineering expertise; I may not know much but I know water let's the smoke out and that isn't good. 🤣
Tom
No structural engineer, but failure may not be due to structural loading. I wouldn't completely dismiss surface cracking allowing water ingress structural degradation.
Tom
Your time and solution must be so much more valuable than anyone that might have wasted their time already responding. 😳
A lot like ending any response with: "enough said". 🤣
Tom
Agree with everything but I'd have walked to civilization (cell coverage) and called the wife. I need the exercise and she's doing nothing but sitting home watching TV. 🤣
Tom
Assumption wrong unless you brought a rock in with you to smash your way into the locked glove box or center console. How hard is it to understand with no FOB, no cell coverage, and keypad not working you aren't going anywhere?
Tom
Again, no - that won't work as the vehicle also HAS to HAVE cell service for the app to do anything. It's a two way cell communication requirement.
"The vehicle's confirmation, depends on a constant connection between your phone, the FordPass servers, and your vehicle's FordPass Connect modem."...
