That's pretty much my same numbers from the 33s to big-ass 35s. 19.6 to 14.4.
Did you have trouble programming the circumference? It took me a bunch of trial and testing to match the gps speed. I have about 15k on my new tires now and I wonder if the setting is off from wear. I have yet to...
Those look really nice. That tread pattern looks a lot like the Pro Comp XTerrains I used to run on my Defender. The bonus on those was the self-clearing in mud. I miss those tires.
I'm running Mickey Thompson Baja Pro XSs right now and they don't clear mud as well as that tread pattern...
I don't know, those skids look fine in the pictures.
You know the saying: Good, fast, cheap. You can only pick two.
It's aluminum so it's gonna give some. If it was steel, you would need a bigger motor. ha ha.
I want the forscan gurus to answer this. What we really need is persistent memory on the drive settings. If it stayed where you left it after a shut down and restart, It would be a solution to many of these issues.
I have had them on about 7 months and I love them. I bought them as a step for my wife (like many folks). And as a normal size driver, I have to kinda climb over them. I have a level lift and 35s so getting in requires a hop and a slide into the seat. It works fine for me. But getting out...
Great info. Thanks for posting.
I have basically the same rig and asked my dealer about this. They said that they are not certified to install. I have to go to a performance certified dealer and the closest one is about an hour away. I'm still going to do it, but I did have questions...
Great question. My take is that each of the different designs can help you affect a certain look. I think there is even a wider stripe available now that goes above and below the door handles.
I was trying to achieve a classic retro look that i have had in mind for a long time. I was actually...
That is the best one I've seen. Thanks for sharing. Wish I had that link a year ago.
A few notes for anyone that stumbles onto this.
YMMV
This doesn't account for wheel width and that can cause your tires to balloon out or ride narrow. It's probably impossible to illustrate that accurately...
That is a ton of negative offset. They are going to poke a ton. +55-(-15) will be 70mm or 2.75". You are also going to get some from jumping up in wheel width.
This might be a more complicated calculation because of the offset, but you can estimate half of the increase in wheel width for...
Yup. I come from Defenders. They have a huge front-end but the windscreen is taller and you sit straight up. Much better line of sight in those clunkers.
In my badlands, high pkg, 7MT, I almost always push the front cam button when parking. It has become habit. As you slide it into first, you...
That looks right under there! I'm now going to have to do suspension and 37s when my current tires wear out. Following this thread is going to be expensive.
redneck settled on the real question. What will Ford build fastest? I don't know the answer right now, but the rig you can get is way better than waiting.
MGV is nice. If you leave the top off or just generally make a mess of things, it's great.
If you don't like the bronco do drive itself...
I originally wanted chrome kidney wheels. But it turns out that's a 15" thing (mostly).
I would still like to re-create the delfab grille with chrome and red bezel. And I'll have a white hard top hopefully in December.
These are Black Rhino Deltas, powder coated white. I chose them more...
Does the black window backing block come if you don't get the wiper?
Since I don't have a hard top prep kit from the factory, will you have instructions on wiring the defrost?
Can't wait! Jacked.
Man, you have the mods list checked off quickly. I'm jealous. It looks really good.
I see you are on the fence with the adv hardtop. Do you need that in California? I ordered a white one-piece this week. Supposed to ship in December.
-following.
I discovered this issue first drive in some mixed precip last winter. I was cooking along at highway speeds with cruise control pushing the throttle. When I hit the expansion gaps on overpasses, the truck went sideways. Scared the shit out of me.
I too had not driven a RWD rig in twenty...
It is an extra pain. But if you go in mud a lot, the self-cleaning siping feature of directional mud tires is a huge advantage.
Of course, in a nation-wide drought, it's less of an issue.
This certainly is another thing to consider when picking tires.
I'm surprised no one has brought up directional tires. The five-wheel rotation requires flipping a mount to rotate directional tires. It's an extra pain. But all the other arguments hold true, it's just more work to run to the tire shop for a flip on the one that moves from one side of the...
