The idea is to get you to negotiate the one area that means something to you and there are only monthly payment, vehicle price and Trade-in if applicable. If you want to pay $200 a month down payment goes up, you want the vehicle price at $40k your trade-in gets devalued you have to have a plan...
No it was the owner. I worked at Ford for 12 years so not naive to the practices. Thats why I asked for him to confirm with Ford. Could he lie, sure. Or maybe it was rolling the dice and hoping.
Ford is blowing this by not being more transparent.
