  1. Advice Needed on Bronco Purchase: Badlands 7MT or Stroppe 2.7L?

Nothing worse than stopping at a red light and your rig keeps moving or wants to turn on you. Been there done that. XTerra, Bronco II, 2 door wranglers..... Pickup trucks in my experience are the goats of towing.
  2. Advice Needed on Bronco Purchase: Badlands 7MT or Stroppe 2.7L?

7MT+procal=best of both worlds. If you want 2 pedals maybe go look at bicycles.
  3. I guess I am old. What else have you noticed.

The year nineteen hundred and eighty three! A lovely dark blue Datsun pickup. 2wd king cab with a stick shift. Sold it to my uncle a few years after I had it and he ran it for 250K miles on the factory clutch before trading it in on a 1996 hardbody. To put a bow on the story I now own said...
  4. I guess I am old. What else have you noticed.

Remember when cars used to only come with one side mirror? I learned to drive stick on a Datsun pickup. Only one mirror on the drivers side and no power steering. Manufacturers used to charge extra for another mirror. My dad drove broncos (and bronco IIs) from the early 80s until they retired...
  5. Gas mileage question

2025 Heritage 2.3L 7MT with procal tune installed running 93. I usually get 19 mpg with mixed around town some highway driving. 21.5MPG on a recent 400 mile trip highway miles mostly. I only use sport mode when on road. Procal improved mpg and I used 93 beforehand anyways. I have some added...
  6. What’s the one thing you ALWAYS bring on a road trip in your Bronco?

Euhomy refrigerator. It's been running with me on many road trips over the past 4 years and is hands down my best road trip item. Leftovers, food, drinks..... Don't leave home without it when I'm doing long 2-4K runs. I like to rig it in the middle rear seat with a few bungees so my wife can...
  7. 2025 2.3L Ford Performance Tune

That is the correct part number, same as what I used for my 2025's tune.
  8. If You Could Go Back Before Buying Your Bronco, What Would You Do Differently?

I wouldn't have wasted money on hard top storage bags. I never use them. Otherwise my build is awesome for me.
  9. 2025 2.3L Ford Performance Tune

Yep. Got it from lethal and had Ford of Dalton (Georgia) install. Just freaking order it, you won't regret it. I pre-registered and brought them my user name and password for install.
  10. 2025 2.3L Ford Performance Tune

I just had mine installed by dealer to keep my warranty intact, but could have easily done it myself. I've used handheld tuners on my mustangs in the past, these things are user friendly for canned tunes. I also drive the 7 gear manual transmission 2025 and I can say adding the tuner made me...
  11. 2025 2.3L Owners - PROCAL IS HERE!

Finally got around to having Ford throw on the tuner (thanks @LethalPerformance ). Huge difference. When shifting from 1-2 or from 3-4 there is no lag. Previously there was a minor dip when shifting if you werent banging gears hard and that's gone. Down low you feel more parking lot power so...
  12. We love Broncos but… what’s the most annoying “small issue” with your Bronco?

I'm pretty much immune to being irritated by the little things at this point. I have a collection of older cars that I am constantly repairing, chasing problems, replacing old parts that wear out, etc. When u drive and repair older vehicles as a hobby you get used to ignoring the little things...
  13. We love Broncos but… what’s the most annoying “small issue” with your Bronco?

Only thing so far is the headlight knob placement. When I get out my knee sometimes turns the knob and switches lights from auto to on. Very minor annoyance it's just a quirk. No other real complaints. I'm coming out of driving Jeeps for the last couple of decades so that likely contributes to...
  14. Building to 400hp on the 2.3 — am I missing anything

Pure fun is a great reason. I think aiming for mid 300s is a much more attainable goal without getting into serious money. Anything is possible with enough cash, it's just about how big of a project you're willing to tackle and reliability and resale considerations.
  15. Building to 400hp on the 2.3 — am I missing anything

To each their own! I do lots of random mods to all of my cars, so I totally get it. What is your goal/purpose with the 400HP? Do you have a purpose like drag racing, track racing, autocross, hauling ass off-road or is this just a "for funzies" type of thing?
  16. Building to 400hp on the 2.3 — am I missing anything

Sounds like a Mustang might be a better Ford horsey vehicle if you're looking for high horsepower numbers.
  17. Focus on reliability, performance, and self recovery

Arb Dual compressor- airing up 35s is a chore with a small or cheap compressor. And you need a way to quickly air down. I like my ARB deflator, works well for my use. Buy once, cry once. My compressor has moved between 3 cars over the years, these things are awesome and reliable in my...
  18. First Bronco — Custom Order Questions Before I Pull the Trigger

You'll have 333hp and 415 lb-ft on torque with a 4 cylinder procal setup (2025+) 3 more HP than a v6 and matching torque max output to the 6. That with less overall weight to the 6 model for model.
  19. First Bronco — Custom Order Questions Before I Pull the Trigger

The manual transmission rules. If you want 2 pedals go purchase a bicycle. Buy the Procal and then you've got plenty of power if you're worried about the 4 cylinder. Sasquatch is such a good deal, go ahead and get it. Don't bother with top bags or door bags if you have to pay for them...
