The awning looks cool, but not for the price and lack of shade

Great shots! I've been wanting to camp on Nacimiento for a while, glad to hear it's finally accessible again.
  7. 5,000 mile / 15 day camp trip from Austin to the Redwoods, other national parks (photos and report)

Thank you. Ha, the pics are definitely an illusion and somehow made the Bronco look clean. After all the gravel forest roads near the Grand Canyon and the volcano/mountain near Sunset Crater, the Bronco was caked with dust. I should have taken pics of the completely brown wheels and tires. I was...
  8. 5,000 mile / 15 day camp trip from Austin to the Redwoods, other national parks (photos and report)

I didn't write enough about Tahoe. The lake is absolutely mesmerizing. I also enjoyed driving through the forests around that area.
  9. 5,000 mile / 15 day camp trip from Austin to the Redwoods, other national parks (photos and report)

Thank you! I spend a lot of time in Google Maps with a lot of street view and Google Earth on my desktop. I download offline maps for just about every section I think I won't have service in. I also use freecampsites.net and recently iOverlander.
  10. 5,000 mile / 15 day camp trip from Austin to the Redwoods, other national parks (photos and report)

Between Sequoia, Yosemite, the Redwoods, Tahoe, and Grand Canyon, I think I put in hundreds of miles of very curvy, hilly drives. No major...

  13. Most UNDERUSED mods on Broncos? Go!

Stubby antenna, because I never use the radio. Or because it's always on, does that make it one of the more useful mods? Which way does this go? Rear grab handles.
  14. Colorado + Utah Road Trip (pictures + report)

Please do, I'm always interested in others' trip reports. I've seen several of us Texans posting our Summer trips to Colorado. I already want to go back, so much more yet to see!
  15. Colorado + Utah Road Trip (pictures + report)

I ran the Lower Animas, which only had up to Class III, wouldn't recommend this portion if you want more thrill, like I was hoping for. It sounded like the Upper Animas would have been more exciting.
  16. Colorado + Utah Road Trip (pictures + report)

Wait, you can DRIVE on this bridge?! How rad!
  17. Colorado + Utah Road Trip (pictures + report)

Good call, I'll update it now :)
  18. Colorado + Utah Road Trip (pictures + report)

No hardcore wheeling, but I had tons of fun adventuring. I slept in my Bronco this trip instead of pitching a tent each night, which makes camp setup and breakdown super fast. I went with DeepSleep, their 5" foam mat is super comfy and solid, and was able to keep it inflated and the bed setup...
