Ground tents are quite lovely. I only got a RTT because I do camping so often with the youth groups that my back is dead. I need that comfort! That being said, an offroad trailer with a nice RTT is pretty dope.

Definitely can't hold a tent with a half rack. Half of the load-bearing capacity is because of the weight distribution to the front accessory bolts.

I have the trailrax, they have foam inserts all around the brackets that connect up top for the clamping portion to eliminate that issue completely. If you want pix, I'll take some. I also added rubber strips to the parts of the tent that touch the rack so there is no metal on metal contact...

I mean...the rear bumper is steel, just has some plastic covering on parts, like the spot to extend it to match the sasquatch fender.

Same boat....I planned on ditching the shitty stock tires and that was about it. I'm on my 2nd lift (upgrade) and about 10-15k in total parts/accessories now if you include labor.

Getting the dual top option is spending about $400 more than you would if you buy the soft top separate. Ford gouges you hard on that price.
