Agree, it appears they are just eliminating the week of 10/18. Could be due to status of hard top situation and wanting to maintain flexibility for that week a bit longer. But, would love a more concrete answer from someone with actual intel. Thanks.
It's also possible Ford was starting to slot FEs into the production schedule to reserve commodities for those units. If they hold all of them until the last few weeks and then try to squeeze them in, there could be issues with other commodity availability. They may also start building again...
If you take all FE's, Wildtraks, other 4 door MICs and all 2 doors out of the scheduling queue until sometime in October, I'd have to believe the only real commodity constraint left at that point is the number of soft top roofs their supplier can provide, since they only planned on about a 20%...
This is what I've said that they should do, as much as it sucks, but the communication all along has been terrible. That said, it IS important that they equip their dealers with info to answer customer questions ahead of pushing an update out to us, and in this day and age, it's impossible to...
But, this issue isn't anything the market / stock analysts aren't already aware of. In fact, I'm sure there are plenty of stock analysts covering Ford that check these various forums , and they all know what's happening week by week in terms of production and production issues.
Here's the thing - Ford has tried to string everyone along and keep enthusiasm up in the face of constant delays. At this point, they need to push out a real communication to order holders AND equip dealers with real information to assist their customers. They have been overpromising and...
If I was at Jeep, I'd come out with an conquest incentive offer for any Bronco reservation holders who come in and buy a Jeep and show proof that they subsequently cancelled their Bronco reservation. Now is the time for them to strike back at Ford and steal thousands or purchasers. Jeep has...
Am I remembering correctly that MY22 B&P is releasing early August? Maybe Ford is stalling until then, hoping a lot of order holders will voluntarily flip to a MY22 build, taking it off their backs. That means fewer customers they are apologizing to and potentially offering points or other...
Production shutdown, yes. But scheduling was supposed to resume last week, after the initial order change date of July 16 encouraging people to switch to soft tops. Then they extended that a week through July 23rd, and were supposed to start scheduling again this week. Now it appears no...
I think they should just build every Bronco prepped for the hard top. Period. Eat the shipping for MY21 deliveries that order dual tops now and just deliver with the soft top. Solves a number of issues, it would seem. Hell, I’ll drive to Detroit from Ohio to pick up my hard top of I have to.
Took my build sheet up on Saturday afternoon and met with the Bronco specialist. It was near the end of the day, so he said he'd enter it on Monday and then I'd get my confirmation. I'll add mine to the list once received, but here's my spec:
4 door Badlands
A51
MIC Top
2.7 Auto
High Package...
There's a lot of variation in how dealers are managing this - some of that to be expected. My observation, partially from my own experience thus far, is that I think some salespeople just aren't wanting to spend the time needed with customers to get this done. On one hand, I don't blame them -...
My issue is I'm trying to schedule a time to meet with my sales guy to go over some things, and he's just telling me if I don't send him my build ASAP, they'll just skip me and move on. I'm like - that's not how this is supposed to work. And he's being real dodgy about answering my questions...
