  1. Guess the badlands isn't as weather rated as I hoped.

Not surprised one bit. I can't be assed to look it up but I will bet a shiny nickel the cost of the military HUMVEE's was a tad bit higher than what GM had on the civilian sticker. :)
  2. Guess the badlands isn't as weather rated as I hoped.

As a victim of hurricane season, I can agree this stuff is worth it's weight in gold.
  3. Guess the badlands isn't as weather rated as I hoped.

Shit I'd take a MIL-Spec Bronco if the taxpayers are footing the bill. And when one thing goes wrong have them pay even more for V.2. 🤣
  4. Guess the badlands isn't as weather rated as I hoped.

They are sealed to be water resistant, from occasional splashes during off road activities. This does not mean waterproof and can be left out in the rain with no ill effects. And if you want all the electronics to be truly waterproof you can expect to spend a lot more coin getting it that way...
  5. Guess the badlands isn't as weather rated as I hoped.

I can find YouTube videos of people eating pepper spray and tasing themselves in the balls, does that mean I want to do it?
  6. MIC sound deadener headliner - standard on BL or option?

I have a BD with the MGV, added the sound deadening head liner and it shows on my window sticker. But also shows no charge for it. Now whether it is in the truck when I get it is another issue all together.
  7. Guess the badlands isn't as weather rated as I hoped.

I always took the "wash out interior" to mean the floorboard pans can be rinsed out with low pressure water in the event peoples feet were muddy/sandy. And the Marine Grade Vinyl was for being beat to death with UV rays hopefully holding up better than leather or cloth.
  8. Guess the badlands isn't as weather rated as I hoped.

Have you tried putting your Bronco in a bag of rice?
  9. 5/23 Build Week

217/860, hope you get your email soon!
  10. Do we gotta do the jeep thing?

If someone waves at me I'll wave back no matter what they are driving. It's a courtesy thing that I have seen people around here do since I was little. And every once in a blue moon I will give someone a thumbs up if I really, really like their car. Though this is usually reserved for well...
  11. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

Out of all the things I consider when buying a new vehicle the resale value has to be at the very end of the long list. Even if I did consider it the difference will be so small it still would not be incentive to wait longer to get one.
  12. 5/23 Build Week

Got the built email on the 5th at 2:53 AM, tracker is showing shipped this morning. No info other than that but I did not expect it to change statuses so quickly!
  13. Anyone Else Having Key Problems With Their 2021 Bronco ?

My 2018 Mustang does the whole "Restart Now or Key Required" thing but here's the rub, it only does this at the post office. No where else, ever. Why? I have no idea. Key works normally everywhere, but for some reason when I pull in the post office I can't get my car started again unless I put...
  14. Anyone go for a cold air intake yet?

They require more maintenance than a dry filter, and can let the oil or particles through if not cared for properly. They can also gunk up your MAF if you are too heavy handed with the filter oil. But if they are cared for properly when new they can keep more debris from passing through...
  15. First Wash - Are you Taking your Spare off?

I use the same thing and I agree it's way faster than towels and doesn't leave the spider webs that towels will. Though I will say this change all the clamps with something you can really tighten up, because over time it will either blow the hose or nozzle off when it gets warm.
  16. Took the Badlands camping

Looks like a beautiful place to go camping! :)
  17. First Wash - Are you Taking your Spare off?

I've got nothing but good things to say about Chemical Guys, I've never used something from that I've been disappointed with. And yes anything plastic will do fine with this or the VRP, VRP has a little more shine to it. But both the VRP, and Natural Shine have UV blockers which will not only...
  18. First Wash - Are you Taking your Spare off?

I do and I use this - https://www.chemicalguys.com/natural-shine-dressing/natural-shine-dressing.html?gtmListValue=Internal%20Search It's not a "snot" dressing, it goes on shiny but after it dries it just makes the tires look new. And it's great for textured trim so for the Bronco fenders...
  19. First Wash - Are you Taking your Spare off?

Depends on how dirty the truck is. If it's not really bad I may just use microfiber/quick detailing spray. Similar to how I clean the door jambs, and truck opening on my Mustang after washing. If it's really dingy then yes I will be removing it.
