Awesome, thanks! I def plan on getting wheels (Black Rhino Good, or are those too played out and everywhere?) and 35 RT's (since they seem to be quieter, and a good mix between ATs and MTs.
Hey All,
Fairly new to offroading - I'm likely getting a NON Squatched 4-Door Badlands, so I can get my own wheels and (better) 35" tires later.
Would I NEED to re-gear or get a bigger axle for 35s? Just curious if it's worth choosing the 4.7 out the door.
Thanks :)
I think at this point i'll just go with BL, most likely, no squatch though as I can add 'hybrid' 35's and a lift later on
Thanks for the input all
Well, I'm not broke but I'm def not that loaded lol
BUT - I'm also the type that appreciates being to turn on/off the swaybar with a button, so I prob WOULD pay for the BL to get it. (Also, the outerbanks i'm pricing out is more than the BL i'm pricing out now too)
At least I have a few...
Thanks Karl - I may just go NON Squatch BL, and get nice all-terrain 35's and a lift later (those mud-terrains look badass, but I keep hearing how noisy they are?!)
Anyway, ty again! :)
Let me ask you Badlanders this:
So I had my heart set on a Badlands, but the interior options for some of the others are just NICE!
I drive an Audi Q5 now but fell in love with off-roading when I rented a rubicon in Sedona in August with my 4 (now 5) year old son.

Thanks - and holy crap this thread blew up overnight!
SO - do i NEED swaybar disconnect? It'll be my DD, BUT I do plan on offroading it on moderate/difficult trails every month or so. The outerbanks (with squatch) I"m pricing out is MORE than the badlands i'm pricing out lol
Decisions, Decisions
I've had my heart set on a 4 door badlands since day 1, BUT the outbanks with sasquatch gives you just the same capability offroad (right?), and much better interior options. Am I right on that? Ty! :)
Hmm - so, to Squatch or NOT to Squatch? Those 35 Mud-terrains look great, BUT they've got to be loud, right? Anybody with a jeep or truck go from 33's to 35's (with a DD) and regret it? Thoughts? Ty! :)
