Bronco owner for just over a week. Let the other half find some door sill protectors and this is what arrived. Had her send them back as they were not what I had in mind and let alone didn't have proper fitment.
Installed the neo-chrome as it's a thing from a few of my past vehicles matched with a variety of Volk/Work wheels.
These are extremely light weight, box does say to tq to under 85lbs, but just got off the phone with their customer service/install help and they mentioned to tq to manufacture...
Headed out early AM and hit the trail. Bronco on road still feels good as noted above. Uneventful as far as making you any less confident.
Off road, hit a flex spot and the bronco did just fine. This isn't as good as disconnecting the sway bar all together but it's an awesome compromise...
Yes, I believe all Hoss 3.0has a rear sway bar and models with the sasquatch package for 23 and some of 22 (?).
On the road under normal turns its barely noticeable. When you dart back n forth or on a sharp switch back, that's when you notice it more which I expected.
Will be on the dirt...
I did not choose the bronco over the wrangler. I have a pretty well built diesel JLUR that does great both on and off the road. Talked the other half into getting rid of her Lexus for the bronco and she loves it. I will be doing most of the off road driving at least for now but that will...
Welcome and congrats on your purchase. I'll be real honest, pretty jealous here.
If you get time, check out on facebook groups: battle born broncos and come and join in any events that might interest you. This group is new and obviously platform specific but I also have Vegas4Lo which is...
Good to see you all here as I am new here. Met you all at SEMA last year and learned more about your elite max lights for the jeep which I bought and am VERY happy with after a failed attempt with a different brand.
Now added the Bronco, definitely considering DD for my lighting needs, just...
So as mentioned, aftermarket ones tend do prevent door dings in parking lots. Factory rails are good enough for scrapes and bumps over ledges/rocks to a degree....... until they are not good enough, then there is potential to actually take on body damage. This is where aftermarket sliders come...
Midland MXT 575 has screen built into the handheld mic. Other detach type faces, there are options such as Wouxon, Yaesu, among others.
I believe there are externally mounted mic and push to talk kits, I just don't know enough about them as I haven't used them before. Might be something I...
Mine came in yesterday, installed today after I finished another more involved install.
Seems to work well, install is just a few minutes but I promise you in those few minutes that you will spit out vocabulary you didn't know existed.
I have metalcloak on my diesel wrangler, no issues with 20k miles to and from the dirt. I have the 4.5 GC lift and rear bumper.
Just added my bronco last week, been doing research on a lot of parts including rear bumper. I did not like how some bolted up but reviewing how metalcloak is...
Thats the other option I was looking at. But once I saw rockjock had released their part, there was no choice for me.
Also I was debating Apex Design for the future but can't wait on it as I dont know when that will come out.
EDIT
Instead of another post, just decided to add it here. Just...
Will post back as this was 1 of 2 options out there that I saw without having to manually disconnect/reconnect, zip tie, etc each time. Plus they have a big place in other communities as well. They are not new at this so that was a plus.
I am not affiliated with any company so my feedback...
