  1. My Moab Bronco ride review and detailed 33" vs 35" tires ride comparison

These are all about a year old. If they are all wrong, I'm going to be disappointed. I guess we'll find out more when the actual tests reports start coming in. I just don't see how it's possible that the Bronco will not have adjustable suspension...
  2. My Moab Bronco ride review and detailed 33" vs 35" tires ride comparison

An off road vehicle needs adjustable suspension way more than a road car. What does GOAT stand for? It can’t possibly to go over any terrain with one suspension setting. Maybe they left off the P. Maybe it’s Go Over Any Terrain Poorly. It’s just not possible for any of the GOAT settings to...
  3. My Moab Bronco ride review and detailed 33" vs 35" tires ride comparison

Thanks for the write up! I just can’t comprehend how a vehicle like this would not offer magnetorheological shocks. Especially with all the goat modes. That makes zero sense to me. If the goat modes only adjust throttle response and automatic transmission shift points, they are pretty much...
  4. New vid of Marine Grade Vinyl (MGV) interior in 2021 Bronco Badlands

Thanks for posting. I really like how the manual looks so sports car like rather than truck like. Can’t wait to read real world tests of the manual, but I’m quite optimistic. Iā€˜m not too excited about the yellow/orange stitching, but I could live with it. It would be nice if the stitching color...
  5. Cactus Gray Bronco First Edition 4 Door - Friendly Ford Monroe, MI

You may need to reevaluate your priorities. Maybe you should buy your kid some new jeans before you spend all your money on a Bronco. At least you weren’t too cheap to buy her shoes! 😊
  6. šŸ“· 2021 4-Door Outer Banks Bronco hanging out with 1995 Bronco

Funny, my biggest concern is that the Bronco will be huge. It will be the largest vehicle (by a large margin) that we have ever owned. I keep looking at 4door Wranglers and trying to convince myself that I could live with a vehicle that huge. But the 4 door Wrangler is about at the upper limit...
  7. Spare Delete From Sasquatch - here's what you need

I think you’re missing the point. A plug kit will get you out of any flat situation except a blow out. Even a sidewall hole can be plugged very effectively as a temporary fix. I’ve plugged dozens of tires. The chances of you actually needing a spare is far less than the chances of you being...
  8. Why does Bronco stand out ?

Manual transmission and independent front suspension. Those two things alone literally put this vehicle in a class of its own for off-road capable SUVs. If either of those weren’t offered, I certainly would not be buying one.
  9. The Photography & Camera thread

Wow! Some really impressive stuff here! Here are a scattering of mine...
  10. Has anyone driven the manual yet? Getrag MT-88

Seriously, if the gas and brake pedals are spaced far enough apart that boots don’t interfere, then they will be way too far apart for heel-toe downshifting. Plus, you can’t feel the clutch engagement with boots. There is lots of mud and snow here, but I never drive my cars with boots. If I need...
  11. Tear Down Videos - Taking Apart the 2021 Bronco (Car and Driver, Motor1)

The only parts that can be removed without unlocking the vehicle are the fender flares, so it’s really not that much different from other vehicles.
  12. Has anyone driven the manual yet? Getrag MT-88

That made me LOL. Driving a manual with boots is like having sex with your clothes on IMHO 😊
  13. šŸ“· Factory Broncos: Modular Black Top + Headlight Assembly, Tail Light Assembly, Puddle Lights

Wow! I wish I could unsee that beast (Yellow Hummer). I’d guess that you’d be significantly less likely to get a flat off road than onroad unless you’re doing high speed off-roading. I’d guess that 99% of all flat tires are due to picking up nails, screws, scrap metal, etc, on the road. Off...
  14. šŸ“· Factory Broncos: Modular Black Top + Headlight Assembly, Tail Light Assembly, Puddle Lights

Thanks for those photos. It looks infinitely better to me without the spare tire. I sure wish there was a factory delete option. But fortunately it looks like an aftermarket solution will be easy to make look good. I haven’t had a car with a spare tire since last century and think that carrying...
  15. 7 speed manual rev matching?

wvmtneer, I think the Mustang got it in 2019. It’s perfectly fine if there is an off switch. On my Spyder, it’s default off, which I like. I’ve never used it because I do it myself. I can’t turn it off on my Mini, which is real annoying. It’s nice that you have a hill assist off switch. I can’t...
  16. 7 speed manual rev matching?

Yeah, it is strange that it’s not mentioned anywhere. If it does have rev matching I just hope there is a button to turn it off. I much prefer to do it myself.
  17. Updated Dates for 2021 Bronco Order Acceptance (Jan 19), Scheduling and Start of Production (May 3)

A bit OT, but in that side by side comparison, the grey one has narrower fender extensions than the red one. Which version or option gives the wider extensions. I can’t really tell from the configurator. Thanks.
  18. Is Engineer the New Vegan?

Every car, airplane, highway, bridge, airport, train, subway, etc, etc, was designed by an engineer. This would be a forum about the 4-legged, one-horse-power, single seat bronco if we didn't have engineers. And the streets would be 12' deep in horse poo because engineers design the sewer...
  19. G.O.A.T. Modes in Colorado

Can it be true that the G.O.A.T. modes do not affect the suspension? Based on what I’ve been able to find, that seems to be the case, but it makes no sense. The suspension requirements for pavement, dirt roads, rock crawling, etc. are wildly different, and the suspension dynamics have been...
  20. Pre Order Checklist

I’m not that high up on the list, but my sales person is very high on the list and will be getting one personally. He said he’d let me drive it before my order was locked in. However, his will be an auto. I’m really, really hoping to be able to test drive a manual before I lock in my order, but...
