My Dad's Wildtrak has the Goodyears, and I wouldn't say he/we have had a lot of luck with them. Throwing rocks like crazy [he lives on a gravel road, so an issue], and they seem to be prone to flats - have had three in about 9,000 miles. Two of those were rock shards working their way down...
Nicely done, thank you for posting. I'm thinking about the referenced exhaust or an AWE climber for my '24, 2.3L 7MT.
I have already installed the Ford tow package on mine. How much difficulty do you think that would add to the installation? Do you think I'd need to remove and reinstall...
Maybe flush the fluid? I don't know the interval Ford recommends for that but should be done every 2 years, generally.
When I've seen/smelled this kind of thing on motorcycles with smelly clutches, it's usually been a leaking/weak slave cylinder issue.
My 2024 has about 1500 miles on it...
Late to this.....was going to guess they'd shut off the illumination to license plates and running lights so you can disappear after a heist!
Steve McQueen optioned at least one of his cars [maybe a 911?] with that so he could disappear if chased.🚘🏁
Not to be repetitive - I put this in another tool thread as well. Having a way to fix a leaking hose is, I think, important. Maybe unlucky, but I've had to do that twice. A couple of extra hose clamps of various sizes to hold the patch on until you make it out can be a lifesaver. I happened...
Glad to read your options made it - mostly! There must be a different harness for the tow package compared with previous years. My dealership had to order it separately from a different warehouse, which took a week to arrive. My mounting plate for the wiring harness (now installed) does...
I will watch for that sale, thank you. At least some hood struts and an engine cover will happen soon.
As to DIA, it seemed news to my dealer that none of these things would be with the Bronco, and there was no sign that Ford intended to ship them separately. They were just notably absent...
So far as selling themselves, it seems that particular configurations in particular climates don't do well, no matter the salespersons. When I picked up my 2024 about 10 days ago, I noticed my dealer still had a couple of 4-dr. soft tops, which I first saw there in early October. As we have...
I used to live in western Oregon, where there's a lot of winter rain. A lot of lifted/stanced vehicles get pulled over on I-5 for the spray they throw at speed. One of my acquaintances was pulled over fairly frequently in Eugene for his extra-wide tired Taco raising spray like a broad fire...
No, I hadn't seen those side moldings - certainly hideous! The body armor is on the four corners of the Bronco, and they don't look too bad in person.
I'll certainly run the Bronco for a while before modifying it with a spring, etc. So far, it feels fine. I'd have to agree the manual...
They were on the order confirmed by Ford & appeared [still do, in fact] on the online build page. Just not on the window sticker. The sales manager did check yesterday, and all options I mentioned were submitted as part of the build.
All great suggestions, and I'm very likely to do all of those. As you noted, I don't think the tune is out yet. My Dad put it on his '23 Wildtrak [2.7], getting a substantial improvement in transmission smoothness and overall power.
Thank you for the replies! No, I didn't pay for the armor or wheel lug locks.
And no, not a big deal, just a surprise. I don't think my dealer, anyway, knew the tow package was a directive that they were to install, but they were able to source one for me in Denver, which I'll have shortly...
